I feel you hun. I have been feeling the same way lately for the past week or so. Only thing differently I am doing from you is that I haven’t been working out. I haven’t had the time, plus I am actually TOO tired to start it after work. And I can’t get up early enough to do it before work. Embarassed (I already get up at 5:00 AM!)

Did your doctor test you for mono?  I’ve had it before and I was like that for WEEKS, it was awful 🙁

Do you need a vacation? I get like that when I’m just tired of the daily grind. A week away from it all and I’m usually back to my normal self.

how old is your mattress? You might need a new one so you can sleep throughout the night.

That happened to me. I was tired literally all the time. I had no energy to clean the house. I would go to bed at 8:30 every night and sleep throughout the night and STILL be tired. But getting a new mattress really helped. The mattress we had was so old..i’m too embarassed to reveal how old!!

@couawilou:  Hi!  ((HUGS!!))

So sorry you’re feeling so tired, I know how that is sometimes.  Are you getting enough to eat and enough protein?  That could be something.

Also, you’ve been through a lot of stress and pressure lately and that can be so mentally overwhelming that your mind just needs to temporarily “shut down” a little.

It could also be hormonal.  It’s happened to me in cycles throughout my life, one of the fun things about being a woman, huh?

Since you’ve ruled out anything physically serious, thank goodness, it may just be that you really need a rest right now.  Can you take a couple of vacation days and just veg out at home?

@couawilou:  YEAH you need a vacation!! Can you take a long weekend or something? I’ve been wiped for the last few weeks, exhausted by 8pm, barely dragging myself out of bed in the morning.  We had a long weekend last weekend that we spent just lounging by the pool bbqing and I feel a thousand times better this week.

@couawilou:  Yes, I think the pill could definitely have something to do with it.  I always say hormones rule the world, lol.

I would recommend taking short 15-20 minute naps during the day if you possibly can.  I’ve sometimes even taken a power nap in my car or on the floor of my office (door locked, lights off, blinds closed) at lunch just to get some “brain rest.”

The main thing is to realize that this is OK that you feel this way.  If you’re like me you want to always be super-energy-woman, but life isn’t that way.  Think of it as a “down” cycle, like the moon phases or seasons.  It’s all just natural.  And it’s temporary, so don’t worry.  Your energy will pick back up – just let this be what it is.  If you fight it, it’ll just hang around longer.  Haha!

Give into it and give your poor brain and body a much-deserved and needed stress break.  Pamper yourself a little.  Let the household chores go a little more than usual.  It will all still be there when you get back from your rest!

Did he test your thyroid levels?? I know I felt like this a few months ago and come to find out my thyroid was low!  So I would have that checked when you can

I agree with the thyroid check, but I would imagine he already did that. Do you have sleep apnea? Sometimes that can make people really sleepy because their REM cycles get interrupted. I notice that when I take a B vitamin every day for a while it helps me get through the day. I’ve tried several, and I really like one called B-RIGHT by Jarrow. The nice thing is that you only have to take 1 cap. Here is a link: http://www.jarrow.com/product/57/B-Right. It also sounds like you are emotionally exhausted. I would honestly plan one weekend do literally do nothing but sleep, and take a mental health weekend.
