Thanks for all of your responses!
Update: After casually mentioning that our dresses look similiar, she proceeded to send me pictures of other dresses that I could wear and even suggested I wear a dress that I wore to my bridal shower. After a few back and forth texts, I simply said while those dresses are very cute I was really looking forward to wearing this dress and I think she finally got it. Apparently she is exchanging the dress for another one that she really loved.

I just read through the whole thread and I think you had a genuine right to be upset by her choice in dress! I’m glad everything worked out, but I’m happy that you stood by your guns and stuck with your dress. The nerve of her to suggest OTHER dress choices for YOU!!!
btw your dress is super cute!

@MrsDeLovely: She tried to get you to change YOUR dress? Lol wow that’s a lot of nerve.

@MrsDeLovely: I’m glad you worked it out, but the fact that she was showing YOU dresses, the BRIDE, so you would change your dress is nonsense!!! That blows my mind!! I’m just glad you get to wear your gorgeous dress!

Its your rehearsal dinner. I don’t think anyone will notice, and if they do they won’t care. I do agree that she chose the same basic dress, even after you showed her, but I wouldn’t waste time stressing over it.

Phew! Glad she is changing her dress….I would have been upset too 🙁

Thank goodness she is changing it. I love how she even suggested YOU to wear other dresses. I liked your dress better anyways 😛

Ok, so rush out and find a completely different fun, spunky, but STUNNING dress at the last minute! If you arrive and she’s shocked, like “But what happened to the picture you sent me?” Then you know it was intentional. If she honestly thought maybe the wedding party should dress alike, then that’s another thing (though I don’t know why one would think that for a party…) That’s what I’d do,,,,another excuse to shop!

@MrsDeLovely: I think it’s weird that she would suggest what YOU should wear…but whatevs I’m glad she is finding a different dress!

The only day you can say no one is allowed to dress like you is your wedding day. Glad the problem is solved.

@Katrina117: Come on, what about girl code? You don’t go stepping on your girl’s toes, that’s just catty.

@Daffadowndilly: I agree it’s catty but I think it’s catty to tell people what not to wear unless it’s the actual wedding day. I’m glad these two ladies sorted it out.

@MrsDeLovely: I’d be miffed, for sure… I’d probably also mention to her that I’m planning on buying another dress because the two dresses are so similar.
EDIT: Whoops- sorry, didn’t see it was resolved! Glad you two could work it out!
