I’m so sorry you have to invite “ladies” not of your choosing.

But why would they order a lot of drinks, leave them around, and not drink them? I can’t imagine they would get something out of this. It would be expensive too.

It would also be great if you could seat them further apart from each other, though I know people will gravitate as the night goes on.

My open bar had no shots, which was helpful in keeping everyones drunkenness, including my own I’m sure, more in check.

I wouldn’t worry, though. You will be surrounded by people, and you won’t be thinking about the cackling bitches in the corner.

@BrideToBe14:  Sorry but they would have never been invited to my wedding to begin with. Is your Fiance very close friends with these guys? There are no rules that you have to invite everyone you know……sounds like you don’t like them and they don’t like you…..why would they even want to come? Ohhh wait let me see…….for free booze…LOL.

Maybe as others said you want notice them but I doubt it b/c you are already wondering about it now…..fingers crossed all goes smoothly thou!

@BrideToBe14:  I wouldn’t try to separate them with seating. I’ve never once been to a wedding reception where I didn’t move around tables to chat with guests. After dinner, no one sits where they are supposed to anyways…

There will be so many people there just ignore them. You invited them, so as hostess you should treat them exactly the same as you would treat any of your guests… and that means letting them enjoy themselves however they want. If it’s at your expense, then that definitely sucks, but you invited them.

My open bar was open for cocktail hOur, closed for dinner (venue rules) and open for the entire reception after Dinner. We didn’t have any straight shots (again, as per the venue), as in people could order a mixed drink like rye and coke, but they couldn’t have a straight shot of booze. we had one bar for 140 people. There was never a lineup more then 2 people. I didn’t have any drink wasters, no drink were just randomly left around the venue – people drank what they ordered. My open bar cost $4800. Drinks were roughly $6-7 a drink.

@BrideToBe14: You’re being a bit stressed. I really don’t like the idea of serving only wine to women. I like my scotch neat and there’s something lovely about a Belvedere with a twist.

For the women who act obnxious, leave their photos with your bartenders — they are supposed to cut people off if they are getting drunk / obnoxious. If they drink more than 2-3 drinks / hour, they will definitely get drunk / obnoxious. Your bartenders are trained to cut people off. If they raise a scene, security can escort them off the premises.

Outsource this stress, girl! That’s what your vendors are for!

@BrideToBe14:  i’m sure that they will know other people at the wedding too besides each other.  i have been to weddings where i wasn’t seated at the same table as my bff.  no big deal.  i still knew other guests at the table.
