lol. yes.. i think you’re crazy πŸ™‚  but i also think this whole wedding thing is crazy.  to put it inperspective, i got a target diy kit on clearance, so each invite will be 50c each.  my thought on the invite (based on what i have done with all my past weddidng invites) is that people will tear open the envelope, look at it… then put it away until the wedding, toss it after and not even remember what it looked like so why spend a single penny more than i need to.

I agree with @pinkshoes: I know it isn’t a popular theory in wedding world but no one but you will notice the envelope. It will end up in everyone’s trash anyway. I won’t be spending extra money on it.

I agree with the other girls! It is cute but it will end up ripped open and in the trash. But if the little things like envelopes were super important to you than go for it!

I would totally pay the extra for the one with the border. I wish I had found something like that when I was looking for envelopes.

where did you find the envelopes on the canadian website?

And yes. do not spend a single penny more than you need to on envelopes. Rip, open, trash.

I am crazy about those things too.  I actually think it’s fun to obsess about every detail.  I end up spending too much on little details no one notices but me though. I feel good because things come together the way I envisioned, but really, I have to remind myself that some details matter more than others.

While I like the envelopes with the detail, I don’t think people would appreciate them enough to make them worth it.  I totally get where you are coming from, and I would strongly think about getting them too.  But in the long run, I don’t think people will really notice.

I guess it really boils down to if you have the money to spare.

Yes, you are being rediculous πŸ™‚

However, I can relate πŸ™‚

I would probably really really want these too, in your situation; then I would come to my senses and calculate how much extra these would cost, and since I am on a tight budget, I would just give up and get the less expensive ones. If really really want these, you can always cut something from your budget to get them, but are they worth it. Only you can answer that πŸ™‚

@H216scrf:  I agree I am crazy about little details too.  I would be the one out of 250 that paused and appreciated the envelope.  Only us perfectionist brides notice things like no address on an inner envelope or borders on envelopes.  Actually I would get crazy enough to hand paint a border on the envelope. haha.

You know what people do with envelopes?  They rip them open and throw them out!  Don’t spend money on an envelope border!

@xx_ambyrr_xx: Love those envelopes πŸ™‚ I’m not much help, but I think you could DIY the border accent on the less expensive envelopes with a white paint pen if you really want to have that detail. I’ve seen a tutorial somewhere on the internet for it…

If you really love it, and have the time, buy the non-bordered ones and paint on a border!
