So I just got my new ring and I couldn’t help but think the the center diamond looked a bit off…kinda crooked/lopsided. Am I being to ocd about this or can you see it to. I don’t want to call and be a pain in the ass but yet I feel like it needs to look right to.

I’m probably not the best to leave a comment, as I suffer from OCD… But, yes, it’s crooked, and should probably be returned to your jeweler for repair. Beautiful ring, tho!

First of all, it’s a beautiful ring! I can, however, see that it is crooked. I tried to live with a crooked ring and it really started to get to me. I took it back and had it fixed.
If it’s bothering you, it will not get any better, at least that’s been my experience.

I too have OCD and a wonkey center stone and it drives me bat sh*t crazy. I say if you’ve already noticed it to go ahead and get it corrected. I’ve had to realize that not everything can be 100% perfect but the jewler could defiantly correct that for you. Also, Erings aren’t cheap, never feel like you are being a pain when needing something of such value fixed 😉 best of luck and congratulations!

I can see what you’re talking about. If you think it would bother you, definitely get it fixed otherwise it will drive you crazy forever!

Gorgeous setting, but you’re right. The diamond is crooked, with the left side poking up a bit.

@tczarnecki: it’s ok to be OCD about your ring 🙂 but yes, I do see the slight alignment issue. In face, I noticed it before I even read the post. Take it to your jeweler so they can correct it and ensure there aren’t any structural weaknesses.
Do you have more pics of that beauty? I’d love to see the top!

@BlondeBee: of course I do! Here ya go

Thank you ladies for not making me feel like I am crazy. I called the jeweler and will be bringing it in for them to correct!

@tczarnecki: Simon G ring right? My centre stone is set a bit crooked in the same way (ie: looks fine from straight on, looks a tiny bit lopsided from the side). I’ve already had my ring re-made because of errors on their part, so I decided to just live with it, since you basically need to be inspecting it at 1/2 inch distance to see it.
