@shamrock1228:  That dress is gorgeous on you!!!!! I can see why you can’t get it out of your mind. If I were in your shoes I would buy it and completely stop looking at other dresses.

If you go for it I would advise against ordering the 16 though, because with alterations its SOOO much easier to take it in, and it looks nicer when they can form fit it your body.

Wow!  What a gorgeous dress!  I voted “no” simply because the dress is so beautiful! ๐Ÿ™‚  Go for it!

I found my dress back in July of 2011, bought it in September that year, and am now getting married in October 2013. (Granted, at the time I bought it, I didn’t realize we’d be moving our date back by a whole year.) Even though I’ve had my dress for a full year (it arrived in April 2012), I love it just as much as the day I purchased it.

Not sure if that helps, but I figured I’d share my super, super early dress-buying experience with you just in case.

PS: You look stunnng in that gown. I say go for it! It’s gorgeous!

I got mine early and although I see pretty dresses come around every season, in the end none come close to the way mine looks on me. That dress is stunningggggg on you. I absolutely love the dress but more importantly think it looks amazing on you. It’s not too early, another thing crossed off your list so you can obsess about other details of the day ๐Ÿ™‚

@shamrock1228:  Well then it sounds like it’s the right dress if it got you all emotional and you can’t get it out of your head!

I felt the same way about my dress and I have no regrets–and I’m also very indecisive/have trouble committing! Any time I even think I feel doubt creep in, I look at the photos of me in my dress and I realize immediately how much I love it and that I’m just being silly. If you love it, I say go for it.

And as for size, I agree that taking it in is easier than letting it out, BUT careful how much you lose… 10lbs shouldnt throw the tailor for a loop. I lost 35 after I took their advice to order up, so they need to totally reconstruct my dress beading and all. Eeeek.

I think you look gorgeous! And I bought mine 13 months before my date, when you know you know! I figure if I really really had a change of mind (don’t see that happening, when I want something I stick with it), I could always sell it and buy a new one ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh my god it’s beautiful! I’m getting married in April next year…I bought my dress 3 or 4 weeks ago, and that’s the only reason we have set an actual date and booked a venue! haha. We were planning to wait a bit longer, but when you find that dress you don’t want to pass it up! I don’t think it’s too early, particularly if you keep comparing others to it. I would buy it – I did buy “that” dress for myself! I knew I would onyl spend the next year trying to find one that lived up to those standards – and the more I look at my dress the more I love it!
