I agree with you, I really didn’t want to spend a lot of money on my wedding band either.  I ended up spending $225 on it, which was about as cheap as I could find for an antique.  Try looking on Etsy, they have some good prices on there 🙂

not at all! you can always get a different band later if you want!

my wedding band is blingy and although I love it, it’s kind of prickly and just a little bit uncomfortable. when I go to bed, I put on a plain comfort fit band and I’m like “ahhhhhhh….” it’s like putting on comfy sweats at the end of a long day.

I got a plain titanium band that was only like $50.  Last year I got a half eternity band from Sam’s Club.  Guess which one I wear more….yes, the plain one.

You’re not crazy.  With all the expenses that go along with a wedding the last thing I wanted to spend a lot of money on was a wedding band.

Lots of women love that look. It’s beautiful and classic. There’s definitely nothing wrong with you!

I’m in the same boat! I ended up getting a plain 3mm band. I figure FH can buy me a sparkly eternity ring later, if I want one.  🙂

Nothing at all is wrong with that! If later on you DO decide you want some diamonds you can always get an anniversary band & switch out!

No. Not crazy. I had my heart set on one of those 5-stone tension set wedding bands for almost a year. Now that we’re about to buy something I can’t stop looking at the plain bands (thinking of using the 5-stone as an anniversary gift excuse down the roadWink). They’re simple and beautiful and a lovely contrast if you have a lot of small stones in your e-ring. Get what you want. There’s no expectation for what a wedding band should or should not look like.

Definitely not crazy!  I’m planning on getting something simple (no diamonds) to match my FH’s.  As a lot of bees have previously said, you can always get an eternity band or something blingy in the future.  Personally, I love the look of a simple band, and if you do to, go for it!

I love plain bands; I’m getting a 2.5mm knife-edge band in palladium. Eternity bands are beautiful, but I think that’s just too much bling for me, and they look a little prickly! Also, like everyone before me has said, if you decide to upgrade later, it’s not like you’d be retiring an extremely expensive purchase… I say do it!

I JUST bought my band last night and I came back looking for this thread:)

I have a round solitaire on a plain, white gold, knife edge band and I must have tried on 35 bands with diamonds in that store (thankfully I used to work with the store owner so he was okay with it hahaha). I ended up falling in love with a white gold band with milgrain carving on the edges. It’s so simple and classic and I think the simplicity of the band really makes a statement. Also, the plain band really lets my center stone be the star and I appreciate that.

I don’t have pics because they have to special order the band for my tiny, spindly, ET fingers but I will put some up next week once my band comes in 🙂

(I actually have pics on my cell but I have no clue how to upload them without the cord for my phone. If someone more tech savvy than I can give me a tip on how to do so I will be happy to post them)
