Hi Bee’s 🙂
So, I’m now 13 days past ovulation. I got my BFP on Wednesday evening. YAY!! What made me test was feeling super bloated and constipated.
Suddenly, starting yesterday I’m having to go to the bathroom all the time. I went to bed, only to get up 5 minutes later to pee yet again. Today I’m so nauseous it’s crazy, I thought I was going to be sick this morning.
My question is, is this all in my head because I know I’m pregnant? Or is it real? If it’s just psychological, how can I stop it?
Does anyone have any advice for me? I’m thrilled to be having side effects, but I just need to know if I’m crazy.

The day after I got my BFP, so many symptoms hit me hard–frequent peeing, sense of smell, nausea, gas. It didn’t occur to me once that it was in my head, because it was so intense.
PS. Congrats! I am glad you find it thrilling, because I felt miserable from day 1! 🙂

@Songbird29: My symptoms hit hard within the first few days after getting the BFP at 16dpo. It’s crazy. I’m not sure if it’s your head playing with you or real symptoms but they felt very real to me! The only thing I had before the test was hot flashes that I attributed to other things.

Congrats!!! Yes, peeing a lot is a side effect of the uterus expanding to make room for baby. The uterus sits right on top of the bladder, so it will put pressure on the bladder until it grows out of the pelvic bones (in early second drimester).
Some things that worked for me are to lean forward when going to the bathroom, it will push on the bladder to make sure it is fully emptied. Also, avoid hot beverages and diuretic beverages right before bedtime (or when you don’t want to run to the bathroom every 10 minutes for an hour). Finally, I started to gage how full I thought my bladder was (I got sick of sprinting to the bathroom for a few drops), I’m usually always at 10% full, at 10% it is an annoyance, at 80% I consider it an emergency.

@ jackieee I wouldn’t really call it thrilling…hahaha! I guess I mean that because I see my cousin who I love dearly trying to concieve for the past year with no success, and my good friend who is in the process of adoption now because she and her husband mysteriously cannot concieve and they’ve been trying for three years! I’m turning 36 soon, and I really thought we were going to have trouble but voila! So it’s my mission to try not to complain…but I hear ya, and I’m not even that far in! I’m glad I’m not crazy.

In the head or real… does it matter it sure feels real!
I started having symptoms really early before I tested positive. I didnt think I was pregnant at all so I dont think it was in my head, so early symptoms do happen.

Thanks ladies! Sometimes I overthink things, so I thought it was just me and I was crazy. Glad I’m not alone 😀
