Okay shouldn’t have done it. While waiting for my dress to be altered I spied this dress and tried it on. Now wondering if I should spend the $1600 (yep that much) and change it. They have the dress and I could have it in time. I LOVE my first dress – very princessy and the Tulle bottom. The new one so very different and I typically don’t like pick-ups. But I was sorta drawn to this one.
Thoughts on what to do? Keep original or go for new one?
And Please note the new dress (2nd pic) it is not laced up AND I would add a crinoline skirt to make it fuller.
First pick is MY dress…Mori Lee Ballgown. 2nd pic is Maggie Sottero – more glamourous.

New Dress possiblly thinking of Maggie:

Honestly, I like the Mori Lee better. I do not like the ruching in the skirt from the other dress. It looks like a comforter

Noooo keep your dress! I love it! I’m a ballgown girl, so I might be biased, but I love it!

First off, the first dress really does look better on you. The neckline is more flattering, and the bodice really refines your waist (even with the Maggie not laced, have a look at where the bodice ends on each). It’s a much more flattering cut.
If that’s not enough to convince you…. $1600 is a lot of money, and in most people’s books, that is too much to spend on what amounts to an impulse buy.
If you’re happy with the dress you bought, then stop trying on dresses. No reason to do it. There will ALWAYS be a dress that’s more fun, more glamorous, more whatever. But you only need one, and if you’ve got a good one, then stop shopping. Spend part of that $1600 on a massage and some relaxation time instead of spending any more time in dress shops, put the rest in the bank, and relax.

I think the first one is more flattering. It gives you more of an hour glass figure.
The second one I wouldn’t talk you out of if you LOVED it, but you said you “sorta” were drawn to it.
Stay with the one you have!

I agree the original looks great, im not a fan of the second one

Everything about your first dress is beautiful and flattering. The second dress, while pretty, does nothing at all for your figure. You made the right choice the first time 🙂

DEFINITELY keep the first one! It looks awesome on you!
