you should do what you want. My ring is very similar to yours but a smaller diamond. Here is my engagement ring:

and here is it with my wedding band

@live laugh love: I don’t think you’re crazy because I think the same thing. I like the look of just my engagement ring and have told my Fiance, but he says he would really like me to have a wedding band too… I like the simple look and REALLY dislike the ig chunky flashy look.            I haven’t really decided yet, but I do realize that it doesn’t have to be given to me at the ceremony. I’m thinking maybe we will hold off on a ring for me(FI says he won’t wear one) until after the wedding and we can afford one.

Not crazy at all.  I love my engagement ring so much, that I didn’t really put a ton of thought into my wedding band.  I was more intent on finding a band for Fiance that he loved. My wedding band is pretty, and I’m perfectly happy with it, but I’m not in “love” with it.

The wedding band is traditional and blah blah blah. I love how Big from Sex in the City (the 1st movie) said “this is why you need a diamond, you need something to seal the deal.” So I kind of feel like the diamond/ering is symbolic of a man trying to win the love of his life. I also feel that the wedding band is symbolic of the day when two become one… I’m cheesy, and I want a wedding band.

But, I definitely don’t think you need a wedding band, especially if you don’t want one. You’re the one who has to wear it and be happy with it, so it shouldn’t matter what everyone else wants.

I’ve decided not to get a wedding band. Due to cost and I don’t usually wear a lot of jewelry.

I love my engagement ring as well and i’m not traditional, so I say do what you feel is right.

To get a ring that will go with mine would cost over two grand. Money we both don’t have, my engagement ring cost enough already. If I got a plain platinum band, it wouldn’t go very nicely with my ring, it has pave setting on each side of the diamond.

Do what makes you feel happiest, but I think it would look lovely partnered with a band πŸ™‚

You DON’T need a wedding band!  I like erings by themselves.

You don’t need a band but I think it would be good to have. There will be situations where you may not want to wear your e-ring and want a band to swap to even if you don’t wear them at the same time.

@live laugh love: If you wouldn’t wear a wedding band at those times either then maybe you wouldn’t have a situation like that? I know that going hiking/swimming/etc I wouldn’t want to wear my e-ring but would probably wear my band.
