Hi beautiful bees.
I have been called fat, double chin, or a cow since I got engaged. I feel like everyone is expecting me to lose weght.
Recently a coworker of mine told me to take care of my double chin in order to look good on my wedding pictures or learn how to pose.
or. I spoke with my mom on the phone ( my whole family lives in dfferent country and they can’t make it for the wedding) and couple day ago I sent some pictures form my bridal shower and she SAID: I look FAT like a COW and why dnt I take care of it? oh my god that hurts, I couldnt sleep that night and when I woke up I cryed like alittle girl, I felt sorry for her.
In the other note: I love my dress and my figure on it. I dont feel fat but words can be hurtful sometims. This is my dress.

I find this very hard to believe. You’re not overweight at all.

I don’t see why anyone would say such things about you. You look wonderful in your dress!

you look AMAZING!! what the heck?? DO NOT let other people put you down! I’m jealous of how incredible you look in your gown!

@mardzhona: What?! You look amazing in that dress! Don’t even think for another second that you look fat.

@mardzhona: Holy shitballs. You have some seriously rude people in your life who have a warped sense of what a healthy, normal, and BEAUTIFUL woman looks like. You look gorgeous, the dress is so flattering. Seriously, screw those people, especially your MOTHER – the one person on this earth who’s job description involves building up you confidence, not tearing you down. You can tell her I said that I think she’s a bad mom and doesn’t deserve to attend your wedding anyway.

@mardzhona: Um?????? Where be the fat? You are far from fat and that dress looks rockin on ya!
Screw them! People(rather women) are stupid and catty and always feel the need to rip someone down when things are going well for them. Tell your coworker to shove it and tell your mom to zip it. Enough already! This is why women have horrible body images!
I’m super mad now and its not even noon!

You are NOT fat like a cow! I am so sorry that people are telling you that, it’s just them projecting their insecurities. I am not defending your coworker, but maybe they meant that you (like ALL people) can sometimes get a double chin when smiling. Still not okay, but at least coming from a better place.
I think you need to come up with some sassy replies for the next time that someone says somethig rude. For example:
Mom: You look fat like a cow. (It makes me angry to even type that out!)
You: What are your plans to get in better shape for the wedding? (shift it back to her.)
You: Fiance fell in love with me like this, he likes how I look.

I think you look AMAZING in that dress. F the person telling you that you look fat. Im guessing that person isnt exactly a prize!!

@MsW-to-MrsM: +1. They are insane if they actually said that.

You look stunning. Anyone who says someone is a fat cow (especially a mother) is a horrible person.

Nobody is coming to your wedding on your side of the family and she told you you look like a fat cow?
Your mother is abusive. Be thankful you live far away from her.

@mardzhona: …? in what world are you fat…?
Next time someone calls you fat, just call them an asshole.
“You’re fat like a cow!”
“I see. You’re an asshole.”
I don’t care if it’s yor boss, your friend, or your mom. Just “You’re an asshole”
