@ecomaha: FWIW, the month I got my BFP, I was so exhausted I couldn’t keep my eyes open. Even after sleeping a full 9 hours, more often than not I would have to drag myself out of bed and end up NEEDING to nap at least once during the day.

Since the day I conceived I was taking one or two naps per day. At first I thought it was depression from all of the BFN’s

This is another reason why TTC is so hard.  I do the same thing.  Am I just tired, or am I fatigued? Are those implantation cramps, or are they just cramps?  Is this morning sickness, or did I just eat something bad?

TTC for the first time can drive a normal person insane. You just don’t know what the real symptoms feel like!

@Mrs Sarah McK:THIS!

I had the same question as you and I still do sometimes! Is this fatigue or…? It is if you have a good nights sleep and you’re still exhausted. It’s really hard for me now to stay up past 9pm, I can do it sometimes if I take a nap, but it’s really hard!

@AprilJo2011: What’s worse is that my current exhaustion could be from weather change, husband being sick, or AF. I was tired before AF and am super tired with it. Yep, that’s what I hate about TTC in general. I’m so happy that my husband hid my pregnancy tests so I don’t obsess anymore.

@brox: He hid your tests? Lol!

I’m hiding my crazy pretty well, I think.  Hubby has no clue. I obsess over TTC boards and websites (evidently) and vent to my friend who is also TTC.

Right now we are taking a short break, so we can go on an overseas trip next fall to see family. I must say, while I’m sad that we are definitely not going to be KU in the next few months, I am secretly enjoying being a sane person again. Lol!

@AprilJo2011: I asked him to. I was testing way too much. I imposed a rule that I’m only allowed to test if my AF is late. I think this will keep my sanity in check. It’s better for the both of us. I have my OPKs, so I can test on those for OPK purposes which I’m doing everyday of this cycle to safely hit the surge.

This was hard for me to deciper since I’m generally a good sleeper and LOVED my 8-9 hours a sleep a night pre-pregnncy.

The way I could tell it was different during pregnancy was (1) I felt hungover in the morning (despite not having a thing to drink) like really tired and groggy like I took NyQuil (2) I get REALLY tired in the afternoons – around 2-3 p.m.  It passes, but I’m really distracted while the fatigue is there.

I didn’t notice any real difference in my sleepiness during my TWW.  I really didn’t have many symptoms before a BFP other than some cramping and gassiness.  My boobs weren’t sore, I wasn’t nauseous, nada.

Me too!  I slept for 9 hours last night and I’m still tired this morning.  The month I got a BFP it was worse like I had to go to sleep at 8.  I operate on the everything can be a symptom or not be.  So I just take them as they come and wait a little longer…  Maybe we will get BFPs together this weekend? : )  Then we can truly indulge in our sleepiness.

I’d say if it’s something you can compare to a day you were just tired, it’s not pregnancy fatigue. Not to say you’re not preggers, but the fatigue may not have set in just yet. I thought I had the flu or mono before my BFP because I was soooooo tiiiiiired it was like nothing I’ve ever felt before, and I have been through nursing school and worked overnights and had hangovers. It’s like having one of those hangovers where you can’t stay awake but you can’t sleep, 24/7.

I second the flu symptoms.  That’s the best way for me to describe how I feel on my worst days.  Tired to my core and not just sleepy tired but physically tired.  I actually went to the doctors the week before I got my BFP because I really did think I was coming down with a cold or something since I was so tired and couldn’t get caught up on my sleep, had sniffles, and an earache.

@ecomaha:I was exhausted the first 9 weeks of TTC. The month I got *this* BFP I was less tired. Everyone’s different.
