- Wedding: September 2010
Bees. We’ve rented a lodge for the wedding, which is essentially a huge building with tables and chairs an an empty kitchen, so everything is being done by us. I’m putting together extremely detailed schedules for family/party members so there is no confusion, nothing gets forgotten and everyone knows where to be when. I can’t help but think I’m overlooking something. Can anyone review my list and see if there is something obvious I’m overlooking?
Set up/decorating will be on day prior
12:30 bride starts hair
bridemaids do own hair, begin to get ready
feed bridal party lunch
1:30 make up artist arrives
father picks up bouquets and delivers to girls
3:00 first look photos
3:30 family photos at venue before ceremony
4:00 ceremony begins
4:30 men in family move chairs for pick up, so ceremony space can be used for dancing
Kitchen puts out appetizers, bar opens
bridal party photos outdoors
bride and groom leav for photos
brother leaves to pick up hot foods (cheaper to do pick up than full service/delivery)
kitchen sets up buffet when food returns
5:45 first dance, 2-3 dances for guests
6:00 dinner
6:45 father/daughter dance, mother/son dance
open dancing
7:45 cake cutting
8:30 ‘late’ night snack served
9:15 last call for bar
10:30 last dance
cleanup
i know its early, but we have to clean an be out by 11:30. Besides, open bar from 4:30 – 9:30 is a lot of drinking, despite the early hour. We wanted our guests to take a break from drinking before it was time to leave.
Aside from bar, drinks will be self serve. Water, coffee, tea, juices are all in dispensers. Mother-In-Law will refill as needed.
Guest book, favors, escort cards are all out before ceremony.
There is no garter toss, bouquet toss, etc.
again, I can’t help but feel there is something huge missing…
