I am in the midst of planning my wedding and I have this nagging feeling that I am forgetting something. I feel like I am just "too ahead" of myself on all of my checklists. Does anyone else feel that way? How do you make it go away?!

I TOTALLY FEEL YOUR PAIN!
I have probably 3-4 dreams PER WEEK of us at our wedding day and something major has been forgotten….like th photographer didn’t show up, or there are no flowers, or I’m in jeans, or something else. Always something. We are a year and a half away from the wedding…is this ever going to stop?

I felt the same way. I felt like the process wasn’t that bad and was on top of things. Then thought, "How could this be going so smoothly?" I had a long time to plan though, like you, so I think that’s why. I was able to do things with time to enjoy the process, instead of having to hurry. If you have the checklist going OK, I think you are on the right track. And since you have a while take some time to think through all the wedding ideas that float around. That is the advantage of a long engagement.

I’m getting married at the end of July, and I would imagine we’re in the same place: it’s too far away to make the last minute decisions and to be worrying about a lot of the stuff I know WILL come up, but the early stuff is all taken care of (or you’ve accepted the fact that you’ll do it far later in the game than most would expect. we haven’t booked a photographer or found an officiant yet. oh well…)
Enjoy it! I’m sure we’ll both turn the corner soon and be back amidst the chaos.
