- Wedding: September 2013
Hi, this is my first post, but I’ve been reading the boards since getting engaged almost a year ago. I’m not sure if I’m freaking out for no reason about my photographer and need some help! I’m a September 2013 bride and have all of my major vendors booked. We booked the photographer at the same time as our venue because we were leaning toward one venue and a photographer and during the process the photographer and the wedding coordinator at our venue both said independent of each other that they thought the other was the best in the area. We love our photographer’s work and both my Fiance and I hate having our picture taken and both photographers we booked (husband/wife team) made us feel so comfortable and like we had known them forever. When we met at the studio for them to show us more of their work we discovered they’ve shot 2 of my FI’s coworker’s weddings so for all of these reasons we booked with them. In August I emailed our photographer to schedule a Fall e-session because Fiance & my schedule was so busy in Sept I wanted to make sure we got something on the books. A few weeks went by with no word from the photographer and then I fell in love with a wedding dress that was over budget by the price of our e-session so we decided not to worry that we hadn’t heard from him. However, I started to worry about the fact that it’s now Dec and I never actually heard from him. I recently found an almost identical dress that was half the price of the first dress and so now it is back in our budget to do an e-session, but it’s past the fall photos we wanted. After talking to my Mom & Fiance I decided to email my photographer (with the text from the original email as a fwd at the bottome) that we were disappointed we never heard from him and that we weren’t able to do the e-session we wanted. That was 2 days ago and I still haven’t heard anything from him! The photographer’s account is a gmail and I’ve seen him on the chat numerous times and for long periods of time since sending both emails. When we booked with him we had communicated on a number of times by email and he had told me he preferred email as his mode of communication for planning. Am I freaking out for no reason? Should I be worried? Help!
