@Brideonabudgetlauren:  +1

I think if they’re traveling for you, then this isn’t too much at all.  You’re amazing!

Seems very thoughtful.

I’ll probably get flamed for this but I really don’t get this push the bee seems to have about giving individualized gifts like you would for a birthday or Christmas. Because it’s not their birthday or Christmas.  They’re gifts for being bridesmaids, all the same role, so same gifts seems reasonable to me.  I’m glad we will be getting through the wedding before this trend becomes standard issue.

@Glasgowbound:  I’m doing a lot for mine also and they’ve all been my friends for years! Some have been my friend for 15-28 years (my whole life, LOL). I say you are just being a great friend!!!!

Are you paying for their dress and shoes? If not I think it’s fine as they are putting in a lot ofmoney and effort. If so, I think you are VERY generous and they are very lucky!! I am paying for dress, hair, make up and generous gift but I only have one so can afford to be generous!!!

@icetea:  I was in a wedding last summer and she got us no gifts. I wasnt upset with her and I didnt think anything of it. I think it’s a matter of personal preference and I dont see it (giving large gifts) becoming a “standard.”

My friends and I never really exchange gifts and I love them dearly so I will use this one opportunity to get them big gifts.
