- Wedding: March 2014
The invites are the only thing I’d be worried about.
@BrideToBe14: My primary concern would be the invitations. Although, our wedding was out-of-town and we didn’t send ours out until 2 months before. I also got my shoes, accessories, and made linen choices about 2 months out. I did finalize hair and make-up appointments three months out. We finalized music a month out but the DJ was a friend of DH.
You’re fine. (I’m another who did it all in 6 months, so I was finalizing a lot of it 60 days out.) I’d focus on invites, then hair/makeup.
Ok, so I know this is a local/regional thing…
… but the only thing I would worry about personally is the invitations…
,,, because if you were that close and there were no invitations sent out in my area, them literally NOBODY would show up… invitations are a 6-12 months in advance jobbie here…
If that’s all cool, I wouldn’t worry.
I still have not confirmed my linens or tables or lighting or draping…Do the vendors have deadlines?
I haven’t sent out the invitations-60 days, RSVP 30 days out. Too far in advance and they get lost
Haven’t confirmed hair and makeup-asked SIL 4 weeks before if she knew someone, did a trial 2 weeks before
Haven’t gotten my bridal shoes, accesories-wait to the last minute, you can always get expedited shipping
Haven’t finalized DJ songs-put your Fiance in charge of this one
My DJ, Caterer, rehearsal dinner, planner, timeline, photographer, videographer are all done though and booked-I ordered catering 2 weeks before 🙂
