So, today I’m 14w1d and I’m keeping track of the pregnancy via the WTEWYE app on my phone. On the home screen it has my due date, how much the baby weighs, how far along I am, what trimester I’m in, and what fruit the baby is that week. When I checked it yesterday to see the switchover from the first to second trimester from the 13th to the 14th week, I was surprised to see it still say I’m in the first trimester…
Am I finally out of it and the thing hasn’t updated yet or do I have a little longer to wait?

So from conception you’re only 12w1d. You’re still in the first trimester then. Most dr. won’t count you’re second trimester starting until you completed that week anyhoo. So you’re only 1 day into the 14th week. Totally weird and I’m honestly surprised that the app you’re using goes by that since it’s really confusing!

Yes you are! 🙂 We both all
We are 14 weeks as of this weekend so that means we are in the 2nd trimester. We are not IN the 14th week….we have completed the 14th week, so we are golden! 🙂

@Miss Sapphire: Thanks for that link! I plugged in my LMP (Dec 31 2010) and it’s showing I’m in my 2nd trimester. It’s just really strange that everyone says something different 🙂
@spraguebride: With the link that Miss Sapphire just posted it shows that we have completed 35% of our pregnancy! How exciting?

I think it means you’ve completed your 14th week.

@firsttimemom: Your due date is determined by your LMP not your date of conception.
It can be really confusing because your doctor will consider you 14 weeks once you’ve completed your 14th week after you LMP, but the fetal age is usually 2 weeks less that that (12 weeks).
So technically you’re due date is in your 10th month (40 weeks) but you’re considered “full-term” at 37 weeks (and the baby is only 35 weeks) – just thought I’d confuse you more. 🙂
