I hear charcoal tablets are good for that? not sure anyone would enjoy burnt wood though!

how about peppermint tea which helps digestion & also sweetens breath..

you could get him tested for allergies maybe he isn’t good with a foodstuff he eats often?

Well, you have already confronted him and he knows you don’t like it so you’ve done your part.

I guess it’s one of those things, no-one is perfect and we have to learn to live with our partner’s flaws.

Maybe he is just a little immature – if you say he finds it funny?

Look forward to the day when he grows out if it. Try to turn a blind eye in the meantime he could be enjoying pressing your buttons..

My only suggestion is to fake a habit that you know would annoy him and then “trade it” away for him trading his away.

It will require good acting and a lot of patience but it will take your mind off fart focus.

nycsa:  haha! Well I’m not advocating not ever farting, just walk to another room or go to the bathroom real quick.  Or yea, hope it’s silent and blame it on the dog 😉

Ugh, I don’t know how you can live with someone like that (particularly since he knows it really does bother you, unlike some Bees who apparently find it humorous or at least not very off-putting).  Just like burping, there are ways of being subtle about passing gas, but as you say he’s doing this on purpose because he finds it funny.  It’s ridiculous, if you ask me.  I’m sorry you have to deal with him being so immature – I hope he grows out of it eventually, for your sake.

You do realize that if you stop giving him a reaction, he’ll probably stop winding you up, right?

Makemeamrs:  I think having a serious problem with farting is just weird, however that is only my opinions. I can’t really imagine being married to somebody I can’t be totally myself around, and that includes natural bodily functions. I think it would be a little different if he bent over and burped right in your mouth lol.

However, if he knows you hate it, I don’t see why he did it.

Everdeen:  If someone has any medical reason to fart, it is surely not the same as farting on purpose.

Maybe I get the op’s problem since I gag super easy and had a guy that thought that was funny and would do that to me on purpose till i threw up from it. I don’t think it’s funny or cute either. I am older than most on here though so maybe it’s me.

sara_tiara:  Well, he’s not going into the bedroom and pooping on her on purpose. If he was then yes, I suspect that would be a problem.

weddingmaven:  I so agree with you, maybe cause the guy who abused me did this and thought it was hilarious to be putrid if i was with him this bothers me extra. The fact that it wasn’t an accident and was done when they were to be cuddling and to be intimate when she was in bed bothers me.

If he just slipped or even if he was across the room or they were watching a movie and he didn’t want to get up, I’d say chill, I just don’t like that he did it at an intimate moment knowing it upsets her.

jbella:  I made my first comments before finding out that it was done on purpose. I completely agree with the OPs outrage now.

Not cool. I hope he fixes this, you really don’t deserve it. It’s not funny to me either.

I thought this was going to be a serious post. But I also laugh when the ketchup bottle farts so I might be different.
