We finally saw Argo over the weekend and it was great! So suspenseful and it was kinda neat to see what was going on in the world while my mom was pregnant with me 🙂
It made me think what other good movies have we missed over the last year or so? We’ve been to the movies maybe once over the last year or so- and that was to see Hangover Part 3. Oh my.
There’s gotta be others out there- any suggestions?

@kestane: I recently watched a asian cinema movie on netflix called “aftershock” and it was amazing (not the scary movie in the same name, this one is about survival after a huge earthquake)!!! I ventured out from the mainstream american big budget cinema, which can be overrated sometimes.

- Wedding: November 2012 - Oak Tree Manor
@kestane: Have you seen The Artist or The King’s Speech? Those are my two faves from the last few years.

The Wolf of Wall Street was fantastic and I completely did not expect it to be. I also just watched About Time with my husband on Friday. It was really cute and sweet.

Gravity was surprisingly good.

This is a newer one, but American Hustle is awesome!
For one from the past year or 2, I think Cloud Atlas was an amazingly-acted and incredible film.

Thanks ladies! Haven’t seen ANY of your suggestions so they’re all on my list!
@KatiePi: Fiance would love the Wall Street one, he’s reading a book about the stock market these days- I think he’ll be pleasantly surprised when I suggest it 🙂

@kestane: her was fantastic. I got to preview a romcom with Hugh Grant called “The Rewrite” (though the title might still change) that was really funny. I think it’s coming our in the summer. The two Hinger Games movies were also great!
