FWIW, my Fiance asked me to wear a specific red dress to a concert we were going to. I should’ve worn it, because he proposed on stage and I was in a jeans and t shirt!

RobbieAndJuliahaha:  Lol. Because waiting 10.5 years isn’t being patient enough. OP, you might want to re-think your strategy here.

doberman:  Exactly! Maybe by fortysomething he’ll get his shit together. Maybe for their 15th anniversary he’ll propose. If she’s nice enough to have earned if of course. SMH.

OP- why doesn’t he have his driver’s license? Did I miss something somewhere? Is it due to a disaility or anxiety? Or just endless procrastination because he figures he can’t afford a vehicle right now?

And you know what OP, there are lots of aspiring wrtiers, artists, actors, musicians etc out there- many of them with incredible talent. But they take a ‘day job’ to pay the bills if they have to. Your SO seems to alternate btw living off his mom or staying with you but not paying his fair share. Most people would take 2 jobs before they resorted to either of these options. And if they have the dedication and drive to still pursue their talent, they will. If they can’t find work in their chosen field, they’ll take any job available while still searching for something better. He’s either lucky enough or unfortunate enough to have found people in his life who enable this behaviour.

You never did give us an update Bee. I hope you’ll do some serious thinking on this entire situation.

You marry someone who can make your life better.  To hell with just ‘love;…

Like, dude lives with his mom and cant even afford to contribute financially in any way…doesnt even have a drivers license or a car and cant keep a steady job. Why are your standards so low?
