I’m not sure what to think of this situation. My first thought was is it a Save the Date or something?

Definitely over-reacting.  Calm down! It’ll be alright.

I sort of agree that you’re overreacting. It’s not like he’s trying to shove this whole “we’re not engaged” in your face on purpose. I’m a little confused as to why he has another couple’s engagement photo up at his desk, but to each their own.

Why not get a photo of the two of you together and frame it FOR him…that way he won’t have an excuse to not have your picture up at his workstation. Put the same one at your workstation. Sorry, but I just don’t get the bursting into tears when you’re confronted with someone else who is engaged. It sounds like he wants to marry you, but there are clearly some much larger things that are standing in the way.

@2PeasinaPod:  agreed, you are overreacting. He has priorities that need to be met first. You cant really be upset about that. I do like the framed pic idea

@Korkor85:  if he makes you feel good about yourself, why would this make you feel sad?? he told you he doesn’t even really use that station anymore, so why does it really matter?

If it helps, my husband works as a mechanic, so he’s with all guys in the shop. Most are married, but do any of them have any pics of their wives/gfs/SOs?? Nope, they have calendars and pics of women in bikinis and other smut like that. Does it bother me when I walk in there and see that? Nope, cuz I know my husband would rather see me in a bikini than those photoshopped women any day of the week.

If you know how he feels, and he shows it, why be insecure? Why not be confident in the fact that you are in a great relationship with a great guy, and you are happy in your situation. You need to own it, especially if you want him to want to marry you.

Would you rather marry a confident guy whose comfortable with himself, or a guy that would cry over a picture that he didn’t even put there (input your own scenario here)?

Do you see what Im saying?

unless you have reason to be there, stop walking into this workstation and getting all messed up – during business hours you are an employee not a girlfriend so be professional and act like an employee

as far as the photo goes – print him one, its doesnt have to be a big deal and is easily fixed

@Korkor85:  I thought so, but didn’t want to assume!  Yeah girl, get some swagger in your step, and show the world you have a man who loves you!  Who cares about someone else’s engagement, as long as your relationship is good. Just remember that

Yes you are over-reacting my dear.  But I will be the first to admit that men aren’t too sensitive about such things…

Def overraccting. A picture in a place shouldn’t make a difference to you. But if it does, print one out and give it to him, he can put it where he wants and you know its there 🙂
