Okay so i am offically 5 days late tomorrow will make 6 days late. Here are my symptoms, mild breast tenderness, no cramps, slight nausea. I took a pregnancy test last night and one first thing this morning, both test were negative. I have on more to take but I think I will take it on the 7th day mark. my cycle has been regular since I stopped taking my pills in July. So what do you think could i be pregnant?

I would say it is strange that you are this late with a negative test. I would take one test a day for the next 3-4 days and then call a doctor to double check that you aren’t pregnant.

@June232012: I suspect you ovulated late. so you could be KU. But you also could just be having a random long cycle. It really happens sometimes. for no reason at all. Lol. Are you stressed or were you sick at all?

@June232012: I was kind of in the same boat. My period was 30 days late with negative tests. My period finally showed up on cycle day 67. So I talked to my doctor and they said anything from stress to having a cold can delay a period, and to wait until my next period would be due. I took 6 pregnancy tests in those 30 days! I would wait like another week before testing again, sometimes the hormones just aren’t high enough. If that comes back negative, I would call your doctor and they can do a blood test. My doctor wasn’t really concerned with how late I was, and just explained that some women can miss a whole month, and then the cycles will regulate the next month.

I went off the pill in April and in August my period was 6 days late. I took 4 pregnancy tests and they were all negative. I finally got AF. It could just be an irregular cycle but if it doesn’t show up, def get a blood test. Good Luck!

were you under any stress during the time you usually ovulate? moving, new job, natural disaster, worrying about a friend or family? anything stressful (emotionally or physically) can delay ovulation… which in turn delays AF.

@June232012: I agree that you O’d late. You would def have a positive test by now being that late if your period was truely due. You still my get a BFP but if you weren’t really keeping track of when you ovulated this month it is kind of hard to know when to test or expect your period. I O’d a whole week late last month from stress so that is probably it.
