My FI and I aren’t actually TTC at the moment, but I didn’t know which board would be the most appropriate for the issue I’m having.
I think I may be pregnant and would love your advice. I am about 3-4 days late for my period so last night I took a pregnancy test (EPT digital) and it was positive. I started freaking out (because while FI and I will be extremely happy if I’m pregnant, it wouldn’t be planned) and so about an hour later took the other EPT…negative. Totally confused so I go out to the drug store and buy more tests. A few hours later take a First Reponse line test and get a very faint, positive line. Then this morning with my first urine I took another one…again, faint positive line. I called my doctor and they asked me to come in for a pregnancy test there. I go in and they do another urine test (for some reason they wouldn’t do blood at this time) and they tell me it’s negative.
Anyways, does anyone know what could be going on? Could I be in the very early stages of pregnancy and that’s why I’m getting a mix of positive and negative results? Are my positives even true positives? Any insight/advice any of you have would be SO appreciated. I took pics of the home line tests so can post if that would help any.

In my opinion you are pregnant but it is early. Do a digital first thing tomorrow morning. That should sort the men from the boys.

Did you use first morning urine with all those tests? Could be that your urine wasn’t concentrated enough and as @keranos: mentioned if it’s early and you weren’t using concentrated urine it might not show up. I would test again with FMU in a couple days, and if it it’s positve call the dr back and ask for a blood test.

@keranos: @Utopia4us: Thank you for responding to my post. Out of 5 tests, 3 have shown up positive…I think…maybe I’m misreading it because the lines were fairly faint. Only 1 of them was taken with FMU.

@spicyshimmer: FMU is the best to test. It sounds to me like you are pregnant.
Test again first thing tomorrow morning with a digital test. Then go back to the doctor, cause I think whoever did your test was an idiot (sorry).
Do you have a pic? A faint line is still a line.

Did the Dr. draw blood? If they didn’t, I’d get a new Doctor in the case you are pregnant. That’s pretty standard procedure to determine whether or not you’re pregnant.
Also, a faint line = positive.

@Lyndzo: Here are two pics. The first is from last night, the second from this morning with FMU. Please excuse the pee droplets and cat hair (yuck! sorry!).
@KateByDesign: They didn’t draw blood. I totally thought they would otherwise I wouldn’t have bothered to even go to the doctor today. I’ll go back an insist they do a blood test if I have another positive test tomorrow morning.
Edit: GAH! sorry these pics are so huge!

I would say those are positive! I would call your dr. Back and request a blood test if you’re still unsure.

Thank you! I have a huge mix of emotions going on. On one hand I’m super happy and excited because we’re (probably) going to be having a baby, and that’s an incredible blessing! But on the other hand I feel a wee bit sad and overwhelmed because this wasn’t planned. We’re not married yet and our wedding isn’t planned for until next spring. I’ve been looking forward to all the things that go along with wedding planning and I’m even supposed to be going wedding dress shopping soon with my mom. This just totally throws a wrench into our plans. In an amazing but terrifying way. Happy, sad, ecstatic, terrified. Those words about sum what I’m feeling at the moment.
