Ok. So I really need opinions here…. I normally start my period on the 15th of each month (give or take a day). Last month, I started a week early, out of nowhere, on the 9th. So I figured I would start on the 9th this month….well, I didn’t. And now it is almost the 19th with no sign of my period. Darling Husband and I only use condoms (the pill was terrible for me), but lately we have been starting out with nothing, and then putting on a condom before he is ready to go (sorry if TMI).
So I decided to test a couple of nights ago (dollar store test). I did it, and didn’t see anything-so I set it on the counter and went and made dinner. A few hours later, I decided to take a really hard look at it…and I swear there is a faint pink line. BUT I know that it could be an evaporation line, and/or results aren’t even supposed to be valid after 10 mins. I plan on testing again in a few days, but for now……..what do you think?? Could I be pregnant??
The first pic is the natural pic, then I altered the brightness/changed it to negative to point it out better. Am I crazy or is there something there?

You aren’t supposed to let those sit and recheck them later because the results are accurate when you are supposed to take the reading, not later. I’d go get another test and try again.

Get thee to a digital!
Okay, well sounds like for whatever reason your periods are a little wonky..coming early probably really messed your schedule up. So its hard to say if your “late”. Have you been having a lot of stressful things, diet changes or big life changes lately?
Theres definitely a chance ( pre-cum ?), but I don’t see any definitive line as of right now.

My period has been coming on the 15th every month for almost a year…so there is that. BUT I definitely plan on getting another test in a couple of days. Darling Husband doesn’t think I am pregnant either 🙂

Oh and no extra stress lately..if anything life has been going way more smoothly the past few months.

@anonbee21: Just try to relax, wait a couple of days, and test again. I know it’s a tough time and you’re probably white-knuckling it, but if you can sneak off and do a few relaxing things for yourself, that may be helpful.

By any chance do you chart?
Nope, I don’t chart….haha, to be honest, I don’t even know how to/how it works.

lol no worries, It is pretty confusing at first!
If your curious for the future ( charting) I recommend reading ” Taking Charge of Your Fertility” referred to as [TCOYF] around here.
Regardless, thinking of you and I hope you get some answers soon 🙂

retest using first urine in the morning using a quality product purchased at a drug store.

Sooo…my period also used to come like clockwork, and then it just decided to totally screw itself up. So I know where you’re coming from.
I would take another test (like PP said, maybe a digital one). I think that that’s definitely an evap line.

I don’t even really see a line (even with the photo modifications). So that coupled with the fact that these are from outside the window were the test should be read, I don’t think you’re pregnant.
Take a digital if you really want to confirm. There is no second guessing a digital readout.

I see a very faint line, but you left it for a couple of hours which you’re not supposed to. Take another test.

I’m kinda the minority here, but a similar thing happened to me. I took the test, negative, came back and saw a faint line. I did that all day with four tests. All did the same faint line after 30 or so minutes. We went to the doctor (we are TTC) and sure enough…I was pregnant on a blood test. We ended up losing the pregnancy, but still was pregnant.
My doc said a line is a line as long as it is not grey in color (that’s an evap line) but pink in color, that it’s a line.

i would take another test.
