My wedding isn’t for another 10 months so I hadn’t planned on going wedding dress shopping till after Christmas. Then I found out that a wedding boutique in town is going out of business (the owner is retiring) and they are clearing out everything in the store for 50-75% off.
So my mom and I went to the store to browse today and I saw a dress that I absolutely loved. I’ve been looking at magazines and online for awhile to get an idea of what styles I like and this dress is basically everything I wanted. Plus, when I tried the dress on it fit perfectly. My mom loved how it looked as well. The original price of the dress is $975 but the sale price is only $375!!!
I didn’t buy the dress but they’ve put it on hold until tomorrow. I would have bought it on the spot but I thought I should go home and sleep on it first. I was afraid of buying it and then having dress regret since it was the first dress I’ve tried on. I think it’s possible that “Say Yes to the Dress” has given me unrealistic expectations for what dress shopping is supposed to be like because this seemed way too easy! lol
So honestly, what do you guys think of the dress? Should I do more shopping before settling on a dress to prevent future dress regret or should I just go for it? By the way, it’s the Allure 2404.

It’s amazing! You look so stunning in that dress. You should definitely buy it. And just don’t look at any more dresses, that way you’ll stave off any dress regret down the line. Dress shopping doesn’t have to be painful and complicated. It really can be this easy!

The dress is gorgeous on you, and for the price, I say go for it!
I didn’t have that teary-eyed moment when I picked my dress (also on the first try), but I really liked it. I had dress regret for a little while, but I found my cure for that — put the dress back on! If you really love it, seeing how amazing you look in it can remind you why you picked it in the first place. Congrats!

Love it! And that price is great (but I would have even recommended buying it at full price because it looks so good!).

For the mere reason you are so unsure I’m going to say no, you shouldn’t buy. You don’t sounds “sure” enough.
Although, if you do shop again be honest, you currently love and are considering another gown, that way the consultant knows what’s up and what needs to be accomplished. Don’t decieve the consultant and pretend like you don’t have another dress you’re thinking about.

i think this is a really fun looking dress! i say get it unless you have a HUGE gut feeling saying no.
But even if you have buyers remorse.. you could EASILY sell it for the price you got it for!

It’s breathtaking! It literally made me gasp, in a good way! 🙂 I think what usually causes dress regret is buying a dress before discovering your wedding dress style. You said you’ve been looking at dresses similar to this style, so sounds like you found a winner!
