@mrskisstobe: That is enough time.  Most people know whether they can come right when you send the invitation.  They don’t need several weeks to find out whether or not they will attend.  Think about it, you get an invitation in the mail, you see the date, you check to see if it’s open…that’s one day!  I don’t think there is anything wrong with sending invites out too early.

Early March is probably fine for you. But just remember that the more time you give guests to send back RSVP cards, the more they will procrastinate and/or lose them. My wedding is April 30th and I haven’t sent out invites yet. We’re sending in the next 2 weeks and our RSVP date is April 9th – but April 9th for you seems very early for them to send back. I would give a couple more weeks.

@mrskisstobe: Don’t give the guests longer than 3 weeks to RSVP.  Give them a couple weeks.  It’s enough, trust me.

My bf is soo excited to send them out.  He asked me to make sure I send them out by March 1st, and he’s been taking me to Michael’s and Craft Warehouse, asking me to pick out the invite stuff. I think it’s fine to be early, cause you want to make sure that they don’t make plans for the summer first.
