She sounds like she’s being a massive pain in the backside!  None of the things she’s talking about are to do with her sexuality, but her personality, and it sounds like you’ve gone out of your way to try and accommodate her.  It sounds like she’s got this massive chip on her shoulder about being gay and feels like she has a right to refuse to co-operate because of that.  Sit down and have a chat with her to see what’s really up.  Explain that you really want her in your wedding party but that it’s your day and you really need her to work with you on it, not against you.  I hope everything gets sorted for you!

Just read that you’d reached an agreement.  I’m glad it’s all sorted and it sounds like you’ll have a beautiful wedding.  Good luck!

my fiance is a more “butch” type (hate having to classify) and is in her friends wedding. she is wearing makeup heels a dress the whole 9 yards. then after the ceremony is allowed to change into whatever but thats her friend its her day whats a hr of uncomfort for a friend when you can change after? shes being selfish!

The only thing I would say that relates to her sexuality is not being comfortable wearing a dress. I understand that part however your offer for her to wear a matching suit like the groomsmen has addressed that. The rest is unreasonable have a conversation about if she wants to be a bm or not. Otherwise remind her it’s your wedding not hers and it’s only for one day that you would appreciate she respect your choices

Yeah I can tell you right now as a queer woman that she’s being obnoxious. You’ve been pretty accomodating.

I know this is a really old thread! But I HAD to comment because I never thought of going to a drag show for the bachelorette party and I LOVE that! Thanks for the idea & I’m glad everything worked out so well =)
