I only check in with mine if I have a specific question. My photographers actually like “drop in” emails so they can be updated on the wedding and get them excited about it. Haven’t emailed them in months though.

If you’re worried I don’t think it would hurt to send a quick email.  Something along the lines of “Just wanted to touch base and make sure we’re still on for November 17 at 2:00pm” or whatever time you need them there.  I wouldn’t send them lots of email and bug them, but I think one just to check in and make sure there’s no issues would be fine.

I trust that my vendors will remember me especially since I paid them all a nice deposit.  However, I drop in occasionally on my florist to make small payments and plan to touch base with her a week or so before the wedding to finalize everything.  Same for the photographer.  I just booked the caterer so we don’t need to touch base again until we need to give our final headcount a week before.  As for the dj, I have a meeting with him on Monday.

I did book my venue a while ago and just called to make an appointment to visit the venue again and finalize some last minute details and tie up loose ends (make another deposit and ask a few questions that I have).

If you booked all your vendors a while ago, I would call them or send an email to check in or ask any lingering questions you might have just to ease your mind that they are planning on showing up.

I’ve been thinking about this too. I’ll probably send check-in e-mails in a few weeks at least to make sure everything’s set.

I talk with my photographer, wedding planner, and venue coordinator pretty often. Other than that, I don’t but that does worry me. Especially with my photo booth. I don’t want to check in with them unless I have questions or comments to make. I’m an awkward conversation starter..”Hi it’s me! Just wondering if you still remember me!”– It would be like that!
