@Nic01:  Portions could definitely be your issue. I was overweight even when exercising everyday largely because of my portion sizes.  It’s amazing how much calories is in stuff that we just don’t realise!  Foods that will keep you fuller longer are generally those that are high in protein. So canned tuna like you said, raw nuts and seeds, greek yoghurt. Sucks that you can’t have dairy…do you like the dairy free yoghurt options that are out there? I hate soy so I can understand if that’s not your cup of tea. My former housemate was lactose intolerant and she loved the yoghurt that was made from coconut milk. Not sure if that is super high in fat or sugar though.

I would lose the juice at breakfast and stick to eating whole fruits only. Juice contains lots of sugar and lacks the fibre etc. that the whole fruit has.   Goodies and Grains at the Adelaide Central Markets has real peanut butter (the machine crushes it for you on the spot – no additives whatsoever!) – a bit of that each day with some apple slices would be yum as a snack! Can you eat eggs? A boiled egg only contains 75 calories so is a great snack by itself or with some rice thins, or a couple for breakfast etc.

For what it’s worth, no, you’re not alone, but I guess it’s a sign of happiness, maybe mixed with nerves for all the anticipation. Try to just reduce the portions!

I gained weight before my wedding ๐Ÿ™ Especially in my stomach, which is really unusual for me. I think it was stress. I also went on an extreme diet about 6 months before the wedding and gained back the weight I lost plus some shortly thereafter.

@Nic01:  Carrots & celery with hummus or tzatziki.  I’m incapable of having them on their own.  Too stubborn for that ๐Ÿ˜› (although admittedly, with my band it helps them go down easier, or so I tell myself).

For a treat, there’s nothing better than peanut butter (low fat of course! lol) on celery ๐Ÿ˜›

@Nic01:  it’s an epidemic! ๐Ÿ™‚ me too!! Seriously, do not stress!! I think that is what it is. What will be will be. So enjoy these moments and remember tha it’s about spending a lifetime with the FH. Relax, relate, release…

Have you thought on trying out a cleanse before the wedding?  Especially since you are limited to time to get your weight down I would look into a cleanse. My sister did the ultimate reset before her wedding and she lost 6lbs. Here is the website if you are interested in trying it out: http://www.ultimatereset.com/

@Nic01:  We are our own worst critics, I’m sure you looked great! Congrats on the wedding – did it go well?

ETA – I do know what you mean though – I’ve lost a fair bit of weight and my sternum bones etc show, not really the look I’m going for, but my thighs still carry too much ‘frosting’. If only we could pick and choose!

@Nic01:  Yeah fair enough, I have the same concerns! Although I guess if my photog blogs the wedding it ends up being much of a muchness..
