Yep, I just started a temp job and my manager only gives me one thing to do at a time, and often when I’m done I can’t find him or get a hold of him for hours, and no one around me has anything they need help with. I feel useless, and a bit guilty that I’m going to charge them for it… but I am there to work!

Yep– I used to ask for a new task as soon as I finished one, and I’d encourage my boss to give me multiple projects at once (always ensureing that everything was top quality)
But after she got mad at me for “pestering” her, and basically complained that I was completing tasks too fast, I stopped– how I ask her once a week if she has anything for me, and then wait for her to ask me to do things.
I spend the rest of my time planning my wedding!

Totally in the same boat as Mrs.KMM…all of my other previous jobs I was constantly busy and stressed, but now with this one I finish my work in about 1-2 hours and the rest of the day I play on the computer…I did also plan the wedding at work…lol….
I also only work 7 hrs a day and am salaried so this by far has been the best job ever…only downside is that it’s about 70 miles away from home so the commute time is not so fun…..

I planned my wedding at work. Like…made phone calls, emails, research, wrote out checks…the whole deal.
Now it’s 2 weeks post wedding and I’m doing grad school work while here. I am most likely putting in my notice soon, since I cant take being bored anymore. I have another job lined up and it is part time so I can focus on school. This job is why I went back to school…I need to have a job where I am busy all day, not doing data entry. This past year has been a really big struggle…I went from being overly busy as a caseworker to this dynamic and I’ve been really unhappy.
