Am I the only who dosnt want go to out to big bbq’s, jam my self into a very large crowded space full of obsencley amounts of drunk people to watch fire works?? I am lucky enough to have the day off…we were invited to several events by friends and family and my darling Darling Husband let me make the descion as to what to do today..and in all honesty I wanted to stay home do laundry and relax(which is what were doing <3). I feel bad for not going over to his parents, but thats a whole different reason, and they wanted to go watch the local fire works show. When I was younger (even into my early 20’s) I loved going to watch the fire works, and enjoy food with friends…but as of the last few years I want to avoid the large crowds and smelly people… If I could go watch all the happly little kids enjoying themselves and the fireworks with out the mass quantitys and obnoxius people I may be more inclined…
Am I the only one who feels this way?

I’m staying home all day today. I might go try to pick up a few groceries, but that’s it.
I don’t really like crowds of people ever, especially on the 4th. I think they’re going to be shooting some fireworks at a high school nearby, but I’ll be able to enjoy them from the comfort, and privacy, of my own back porch.

No your not the only one. I stayed home all day today, and the worst part is, it rained 🙁 So i couldnt even enjoy the pool or anything.

We’re not doing anything exciting either. The most Fiance and I did today was shop for Groomsmen gifts. We used to go to Fair St. Louis to watch the air shows and fireworks, but the older I get, the more I hate crowds. Also, since it’s hotter than hell outside, people are going to be sweaty and stinky. We usually go to the neighborhood lake and watch the firework show, but it’s so dry that the city banned fireworks. We’ll probably just watch something on TV.

Okay I am glad to say I don’t feel so alone any more…it seems as I get older my social anxiety gets increasingly worse! I have no problems at work but the idea of big events with lots of people just makes my stomach turn into knots!!

Nope. My plan for today was to get some yard work done and paint our dining room. I didnt get to the dining room cause I didnt go get paint yesterday, but we did get some yard work done and relax which was nice.

Haha, glad I’m not alone! Darling Husband and I have both sat at home all day. It’s also over 100F outside soooooooo our little a/c apartment seems like a better plan!

We went to a BBQ …. that was a total of 3 couples. So I’m definitely with you on avoiding crowds. But we still got good food and time with friends.
