Yea your right and the hair piece and the veil don’t work either. I mean pick one or the other. You know what I’m saying?

You know, I actually love it. But I could never personally wear it – I’m 5′, it would just engulf me!

I think the shortened version that Vivienne Westwood actually sold would have been a gorgeous rehearsal dinner dress, but it was $10,000 – since that’s well over twice my actual wedding dress budget, it’s not happening anytime soon.

I like the bird in her hair, but that is about it.

I think that was kind of part of the movie they were trying to show how the wedding took everything over and she lost sight of what was important. The dress kind of takes her over especially compared to what she originally picked out.

The dress is so not usually what I go for, but I actually love it.  I totally dig the sharp edges on the neckline.

I don’t understand why she would go with that one when the Christian Lacroix gown was so amazing.

Agreed. I never understood the appeal of it. Carrie could have done so much better! The Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses on the other hand were gorgeous!

@Puggy – agreed, the Lacroix was far and away the most gorgeous.

No you’re not the only one. I honestly never understood the appeal. I also don’t think the headpiece (with side veil) is flattering on anyone. Not a huge fan of the Christian LeCroix dress either but it’s much more appealing than the other.

Honestly though, I think it has more to do with the designer label than anything else. People see or hear a certain designer and automatically think that a dress or other article of clothing (or anything for that matter) by that designer is the most amazing thing ever even if it is incredibly unflattering.

    I agree, Selene!

I feel like I’m ABOUT to see a boob pop out of those pointy boob covers!!!
