@MiJeS1104:  I am not looking forward to more snow after spending three hours shoveling last week, but I am glad there are people who *are* looking forward to it!

@sourcandy:  We have no more room either. The snowbanks are collapsing on themselves now so it’s just undoing all the hard work for everybody! I live in a house right in the city and we don’t have much of a yard where we can pile the snow.

I’m so glad this storm in the US is skipping us.

@Rainstorm77:  It will if you post a few pics for us to have a mental escape!!!!!!!!!!

I am SO SO SO sick of winter.  I am not a winter person normally, but I am feeling on the edge of a full blown meltdown.  I am just seeing winter as the biggest pain in the *ss at this point! Time wasted shoveling snow, extra time in the morning heating up the car and scraping frost off the windshield, the higher gas and electric bills, its even harder to know what to wear because I just want to wear socks and I don’t have a ton of good work shoes that I can pull that off with haha. And most especially how I FEEL.  I FEEL like sh*t. I seriously just can’t handle it anymore, but I have a fear that with how strong a grip winter has had around here, winter won’t be over until mid-April :*(

If all the snow out there wasn’t actually GIANT BLOCKS OF ICE I would be OK with this.

But my driveway is getting harder and harder to get into at the end of the day! I think I’m going to get sideswiped on one of those giant snow mounds one of these days!

But the cool thing is that walking on the frozen snow is like walking on water (or a tightrope!) sort of… except when you walk into a soft spot, plunge down 2 feet, and get snow in your boots

Calling for 10-12″ in my area.  And I’d love the snow IF ONLY MY OFFICE would close!!  It very rarely closes so I am honestly hoping we get dumped on so it has to close.  I hate getting up in the morning and trying to figure out if I should risk my life on the roads just get to work… Sooooooo bring on the snow so that my office closes πŸ™‚

@Sunnyday278:  Ask and ye shall receive! I have just come over to St Thomas as my fiance lives here, but I left an Australian Summer, where we were getting days of up to 113!!! It was insanely hot. I guess the grass is always greener because I always love Winter. Perhaps my version of Winter (55 degrees… brrr!) is a little different to yours.

Here are a couple of pictures I’ve taken over the last week and also a few from my last visit in December from St Lucia. Enjoy πŸ™‚

@Sunnyday278:  Glad to help out πŸ™‚ I have the Disney ‘Fantasea’ cruise ship and the ‘Norwegian Getaway’ cruise ship currently sitting outside in the bay (the first pic posted is from the balcony) so it’s a pretty hard life at the moment. My problem is, there are so many tourists, I don’t want to leave the apartment! #Firstworldproblems.

I just took this from the ‘home office’ where I am supposed to be working today. Hah. Good luck with that.

@MiJeS1104:  Love snow storms when I get to stay home and curl up on the couch and watch movies in my pjs….but it has to be a STOOOOOORM….(as here in alberta dealing with storms that would normally shut down other cities is business as usual lol). So if its a “we’re getting 20cm” then its just a pain in the a$$.

It also has to start in the wee hours of the morning too for it to be a good one or else you still have to go to work….. no “we’re expecting……so stay home”. Its always murphys law that the bad ones start in the middle of the day and then you have a multiple our commute home πŸ™

I usually love snow, but at this point it’s gotten to be too much. The issue is that my job does not cancel regardless of the road conditions, and frankly, it’s idiotic and unsafe. While I understand that the world can’t stop for a couple inches of snow, we got a foot last Wednesday and we still didn’t shut down. People got in accidents on the way to work and it was unbelieveably dangerous.

If people decided to take a step back and look at the big picture, I would absolutely be happy for a storm. However, those in charge are often ignorant of the fact that work is not everything, and it’s not worth risking your life or your employees’ lives so that your business can be open in the harshest of weather.

@MiJeS1104:  It’s awkward as can be at first until you get a rhythm going. Even though it’s not downhill skiing, you should still be prepared to fall! πŸ™‚ It’s an awesome full body workout though. You can rent XC skis from REI if you wanna try it w/o forking over the cash at first.

I live in New York and I’m so excited. I live on a mountain in the upstate region, and we get more snow than other people, and I personally love it. πŸ˜€ I’m a kid at heart so it’s always exciting to me.
