I am not into it at all. I have heard a little bit about the books, and they just don’t seem all that interesting. I’m with you on this one!

I ordered the sample on my Kindle and decided I could live without it. The whole story seemed really forced. I know it’s futuristic and all, but the characters should at least be realistic, right?

I really enjoyed them.

Darling Husband said he thought they were a bit dumbed down and formulaic (but he still read all 3 of them in 2 days).

I can understand if it’s not your cup of tea, but I really enjoyed them.

Yes, you are 😉

I thought they were going to be stupid, young adult crowd and all, but I ended up loving them and am completely on the HG bandwagon. Movie comes out this week yay!

That’s how I felt about Twilight. If it’s not your cup of tea then no big deal tell people you tried reading them and you didn’t like them. Although with my experience with Twilight people get hissy for no reason.

THG is definitely a series that won’t appeal to everyone. I’ve always loved dystopian fiction and I’m also a huge young adult fiction fan, so it felt like Collins wrote the books specifically for me while reading them. My good friend, on the other hand, doesn’t like that type of writing at all and like you, could not get past the first book.

It’s the big thing right now, but that will probably die down a bit after the film is released. I read the books a couple of years ago, and the hype has definitely gotten out of control since they announced there’d be movies.

Ugh, all I hear about is this book series/movies and I’m sick of it already. I have no interest in it.

I’ve been meaning to pick up one of the books to give it a try. I need some awesome new book in my life. I haven’t come across anything since Harry Potter.
