Could you get them a gift certificate to their fave resteraunt or a mani or something? Or could you make something? I was thinking of making my girls clutches. Good luck!

@Mrs Hedgehog: I’m there with ya. I’m getting my gals each a pashmina scarf in my wedding colors *so some get teal, blue, purple, whatever I find on sale :-)* for about ten bucks a piece. I think I’ll also do like @missapis: mentioned and get them a $10 or $15 gift certificate to either their favorite store, spa, or restaurant. And my favorite gift to give is a handwritten letter to each of them, thanking them for their friendship and all they’ve done for me, and for the support they’ll provide me now in my marriage.

So for under $25, I give them something to wear, something to use, and something to cherish (hopefully). ๐Ÿ™‚

We had a very limited budget of about $20 per person as well.  My husband got the guys a nice cigar each and I bought my SIL and friend a pretty pearl necklace off of Etsy that were about $15 each.

What is your theme?

I’m getting married at the beach, and I’m doing really nice monogrammed beach bags that your bms apparently hate, but I’m putting Michael Kors flip flops (because they are all, like me, obsessed with Michael Kors and flip flops fit the beach theme) and putting some beach towels and a few knick knacks in them…Altogether, I’m spending about $60 per Bridesmaid or Best Man.  But I think if you let us know what your wedding theme is, maybe we could come up with something for you.

My bags will be navy and aqua with a starfish, which is the theme of my wedding.

I also did Pashima wraps for my girls ($10 bucks at a stand in the mall), along with little tubes of perfume that I found on sale at New York at Co for $2, Burt’s Bees colored lip balm for $5, and a box of sample chocolates for $4.  So, altogether I spent $21 on each girl, along with maybe $2-3 more for the gift bags/tags/tissue paper.  I also wrote them a nice, personalized letter telling them how much they each meant to me, etc.  They LOVED their gift bags!

Darling Husband got his guys personalized Zippo lighters from the Zippo website with their name on it.  I think they were $20 each with the personalization?  Somewhere in that range…  all of the guys loved them too!

Yeah, I didn’t have much of a budget for expensive Bridal Party gifts.  That’s why I bought things from etsy and ebay so IRL they would cost more than what I actually paid for.

I got 10 lancome beauty bags (came with a lttle coin purse too) from ebay for  total of $15 and that included shipping.  I got hand painted wine glasses from etsy.  I got personalized wine charms from etsy and attached them to the wine glasses.  I think I spent $85 for 9 glasses.  I got a good deal because I was buying so many. I got 10 pearl necklaces from ebay.  It wasn’t the best quality but I didn’t require them to wear them. For all of that, it came out to about $25 but I think it in the end, my bm got a good selection of gifts.  No it’s wasn’t a coach bag or anything.  (Shoot I don’t even have a coach bag.)

So yeah, you can definitely find some good deals if you can buy in bulk like I did.

As for the gm, I got personalized stainless steel flasks from ebay.  I think I spent $112 total for 10 flasks.  Then my husband got a seperate gift for each of them, like a t-shirt or a bottle of liquor for them.  It was a bit harder to shop for guys.

Oh, subscribe to groupon or living social.  You could get some good deals for more than 50% off.  I think I saw someone get a 46 pack of sachets of gormet tea.  For 46 packs of tea, it was $20 but I think the retail price was $50.  I think some of her bm love hot tea so it was a great idea.

Oh, these were the lancome bags I got.

And here are the hand painted wine glasses I got.

Oh, here is a pic of the guys enjoying their personalized flasks.

I would honestly go out on a date with each one before the wedding if you can. It doesn’t necessarily have to be fancy; a good sushi place or olive garden (lol excuse my random examples) should run you about $30-ish total and that includes food for you too. And if you spread the dates out, it won’t pop your budget. It gives you time to have fun with them and lay the focus on them for a while, since they are hopefully being great BMs for you too.

I am definitely getting them these: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Designsbyjesy?ref=seller_info in a colour they want – so purple, pink and green (NOT my wedding colours).

I might get them some earrings as well, but that depends on price. I also have to figure out what to get my Bridesman….

I am with you.  I read some of the gifts on here, and am totally jealous that I can’t do the same for my girls.  There are some great ideas on here, love the hand painted wineglasses as I was thinking of doing a bottle of wine and chocolates for each of my girls.  Heading to etsy now. ๐Ÿ™‚

As someone who has been in a lot of weddings, I honestly don’t expect that much from a bride! I am spending about $40 for each girl to get her hair done however she wants it done for the wedding; I live at the beach, so I am also getting each girl a really cute journal with a beach scene on the cover. Total: $45-50 for each girl. Not bad! ๐Ÿ˜‰

My favorite gift as a bridesmaid was probably the cheapest I ever received: a nice picture frame with a photo of the bride and me together. Later she sent me a pic of the two of us from the wedding that I could also put in the frame.

@mightywombat: Aww, that’s such a cute and good idea. Wish I would have done something like that.

@BlueDolphin: Wasn’t it sweet of her? I still have the framed photo of us from her wedding on my desk.  If I was having a wedding party I would totally do that. ๐Ÿ™‚
