@peaches13: Birth control helped a lot for me.  Now it’s hit or miss each month if I get sick, which is better than getting sick every month.  My gastroenterologist was the one who figured out I have CVS.

@miss sparkly cat: I didn’t get to see that!  Most people don’t even know what CVS is.  It makes me happy that it was on TV.  🙂  And birth control helps because it regulates my hormones so that makes life easier.

Aunt Flo is currently visiting.  I am so drained, tired, and blah.  My stomach was killing me on Monday.  I get migraines.  I feel gross as can be.  Hah.

I know what you mean, kind of. I have wicked mood swings in the week before my period and when I get it all my anxiety goes away. Physically having it? No thanks.

I definitely do not look forward to it.  I’m glad that my body works properly, but I hate the cramps and stuff that goes along with it.  I’m extra miserable this month because I have AF and a cold/fever at the same time!

Ugh I feel so gross/fat/dirty while on my period! Not only that but for the first 2 days I have severe cramps from my knees to the middle of my back that are basically debilitating. I’m also a HUGE bitch during my period and eat too much. The only reason I “like” having it is that I know I’m not pregnant!

@Mrs.ChubbyBunny: I have to agree with every thing you said about period sex. In fact, if I go missing from the boards for a bit tonight, you’ll know where I am, lol.

Physically, I don’t ‘like’ it, but mine aren’t too bad. They were before I went on BC, though, with cramps and such, so who knows what it will be like when I get off it again. Light/med tampons and I’ve never had a ‘ooooh crap, there go my favorite panties’ moment, so I’m fine with it.

I am cranky the week before, and the day or two before I always cry at least once for no reason whatsoever, so when it does get here, I’m happy again. I do like that part (as does Mr.ND). Lol! I feel icky/bloated/breakout the week before, so once it comes I have a ‘skinny day’ again and my skin clears up. My hormones are goofy.

At the moment, I like it because I’m tracking my cycles, so when it arrives on the 27th day I’m happy. I kind of find it funny that those who’ve been pregnant like not menstruating during it. I say this because don’t you bleed for a number of weeks post birth and have to wear a giant pad!?!? It’s one of the things I’ve learned as we’re getting closer to TTC.

Since being on BC, I don’t *love* my period, but I don’t mind it.  I like having it be predictable, and it’s gotten a lot lighter/less crampy.  So, it’s not bad, but I can’t say I love it!

I can understand someone saying they feel better when they get their peroid.  Before BCP, I had PMS symptoms and period symptoms.  Some were worse before, and some during my period.  I would rather just not have cycles, even with BCP there have been times that I could feel my hormones going out of whack (and I’ve also had problems with bleeding for weeks even with being on the pill).

@Kant: I totally agree with the first part. I m just very aware the entire time of it.

And I couldn’t do the whoel period sex thing. I don’t have a period except every 3-4 months and we might do it the last day when I feel I’m not gushing blood and gonna make a mess  and everything. Or else in the shower is okay. But even then I’m thinking too much about it, and if I feel gross about it, sex isn’t enjoyable because of the mess and I myself don’t feel very attractive knowing I have blood dripping down my leg or on him.

I also don’t get migraines or horrible cramps or symptoms like that usually so I don’t hate my period for that at all. That I could handle. It’s ENTIRELY the mess that comes with it that just grosses me out completely.

@Mrs.ChubbyBunny:

See for me It’s RIGHT AFTER my period ends (maybe a day or two) THAT’S when sex is th best for me. But during even if I could get past the mess an all that I just don’t have that urge to.
