I planned on DIY-ing our centerpieces until I tallied the costs and realized that for about $50 more than what I’d pay to do it all myself, my florist would do it. They’d also deliver and pick up so I wouldn’t have to go back the next day. I was sold. Now I’m just going to put together the favors on my own (with a bit of help from my fiance, of course).

I just have to say, I am SOOOOO happy that we decided to buy everything. I’m one of the moderators of the Math National Honor Society at the high school I work at – and I have to print out invitations for the event. It’s the biggest pain in the ass. And I’m getting paid to do this, there’s no way that I would want to print out 100+ envelopes and then print out the labels on all of them. And then do the same for programs, escort cards, etc.
I am thanking God right now that we had the money to pay someone to do it. It’s better for my sanity and his as well.

@FoxyBride14: oh my gosh, you’re totally not a bride failure!! I *wish* we didn’t have to DIY, but some things were more affordable for us this way. It’s definitely not everything either – just drink glasses (venue doesn’t come with anything), centerpieces, and small decor pieces. You’re lucky that you can save yourself stress and time by buying everything! 🙂

We DIYed our save the dates and our wedding website. That’s all. I have neither the time, the will, nor the artistic ability to DIY anything else 😉
