Especially when they do it loudly or slurp or make clicking noises when they eat. I absolutely hate it and it takes a lot for me to not tell them to shut up. I do usually glare at them or i have to leave the room or the table.

I’m pretty sure most people hate it. I’m related to a few smackers, so I feel your pain.

OMG!!! I hate this so much its not even funny!!! I have a co-worker who eats like a pig in the barn so whenever he goes to eat his lunch I leave to go get my lunch so I dont have to hear the disgusting sounds!!!!!

I hate it with a passion!!!

I’m a little over-the-top in my hatred of it. It makes me totally stressed out and I can’t focus on other things. Even when people eat politely it drives me crazy. I’ve gotten better about it, but I still really don’t like it.

@FoxyBride14: it drives me INSANE!!!!!!! I literally have to correct my SO constantly because he freaking does it. There is not a single thing in the world that bothers me more. Not one thing.

Darling Husband always smacks his mouth together when he is eating, nad it has become worse in recent months. I can’t take it, and I do have to tell him to close his mouth when he chews.
My Mother-In-Law is worse yet: she moans when she eats. She will eat bread and the whole time go “Mmmm hmmm ummmm hummm.” She even does it when we are at the movies, eating her popcorn. It is very distracting.

Hahaha i’m the same way. We have to eat with the TV or music on because otherwise I get super bitchy lol. I can handle it a bit but at soon as i notice it I cant thin about anything else and I just get irate in my head… lol Glad im not alone!

Yes, I find it disgusting! Unfortunately I lack the balls to glare at the person or say anything about it!

no you’re not alone. Darling Husband hates it, and either leaves the room or asks me to leave. But this happens mainly when we’re in close proximity, like next to each other on the couch or in bed.
I don’t mind it, unless it’s loud, slurpy and smacky

@Ninteenthchance: I actually did the same thing! My fiancé is way better now. I can just give him a look and he knows lol. Other people, not so much lol.

no, i totally can’t handle it. it always amazes me that it doesnt bug most people i know

@FoxyBride14: No, you’re not. I can tolerate these sounds to a point but after a while I get annoyed too. I have dealt with a few hearing sensitivities and frequent ear infections as well though. I think there could be a link between the two.

@Jess1483: +1. I absolutely cannot stand the sound of people chewing, even politely. I need to have some background noise on when eating so I can’t hear it because it grosses me out. LOL

I hate it. But even worse for me is the sound of heavy breathers while eating. My dad sounds like a beast when he eats. I cant stand it.
