So, I have a friend who was supposed to get married before me. She then postponed the wedding until after mine. Im supposed to be in her wedding and last week was the deadline to buy the bridesmaids dresses for her December wedding. Well, right before the deadline (a day before the deadline actually) she told us that the wedding will be postponed yet again but she is not sure when the exact date of the wedding will be.
Here is the crazy part: She still wants us to order our dresses. I kinda sorta think thats crazy because I dont know when her wedding will be and I dont know what size I will be by then and I intend on TTC right after my wedding.
I wanted to talk to her about this but I didnt know if I should just shut up and buy the dress (by the way, I am really penny-pinching for my own wedding and her dress is over $200.00 so I really cant afford to purchase it now).
Oh, by the way, she told me she intends on sending out invites next month but she is still unsure of when the wedding will be next year. LOL!

Ummm…. I’d really talk to her about waiting. I’d use the TTC as the excuse, but this girl does not sound like she has her act together.
Sending out invites next month but doesn’t know when the wedding will be yet??? It’s too early to send out invites for anything beyond January really.

Nope, you’re definitely not the only one who thinks that’s nuts! Especially the invites part! What are they going to say, “You’re cordially invited to X and Y’s wedding… whenever it is….”?

this is very simple:
I dont know when her wedding will be and I dont know what size I will be by then and I intend on TTC right after my wedding.
tell her that and see what she says., whatever she says goes.

No way. When she lets you know when the wedding is, that’s when you start making plans and spending money, not before.

That’s weird. I agree with the PPs, use TTC as an excuse to not go along with this disorganization.
