liz42: I have been to St. Martin. You’ll be among the younger crowd of women in crop tops!

Wear whatever you want, especially if you and your daughter are sticking to the “looking good naked” fitness routine you mentioned in other posts! Show off your hard work! You’ll be on vacation and you’ll never see those people again, anyway!

Have fun. Be free. Feel sexy!

liz42:  My mom is in her fifties but she’s in better shape than most twenty somethings lol. I’d love if she wears a crop top. I love my mom looking fashionable and chic rather than being concerned about what’s age appropriate. Go for it!

Age is a number. Im 25 and if i felt comfortable with my body in a crop top…hell yeah I’d rock it!

ljm308:  It must suck to have these self-imposed limitations.

I am 30 and wore a crop top last week. I looked great.

As a nearly 40 year old I am sad that you feel you have to ask this question.

Of course you can wear a crop top.

Who cares if you’ll embarrass them. It’s your right as a parent to embarrass your kids. Go for it! Life’s too short.

ely16:  Actually no, my life is just fine.  I dress my age and it feels great.  I’m not “shaming” or anything, but have you ever seen the woman who dresses way below her age?  It’s not flattering — on anyone.  GREAT that the OP feels comfortable in a crop top…I’m glad she wants to show off her body!  There are so many more ways to do just that without having to throw on a teeny-bopper shirt.  That’s all I’m saying.

liz42:  tbh, i think *anyone* is too old to wear a crop top. it doesn’t matter that you’re in your 40s…it’s just a trend i wish would disappear entirely. i should have been left in the 90s.

They’re very much in style, regardless of age! I see a lot of the cut out/crop top style (although it’s not a complete crop top) in a lot of the fancier stores geared from MOB/MOG and what not.

Go for it!

My mom is thinking about this dress and I think it looks fab:

I think on vacation or at the beach/pool/lake it’s perfectly fine!

Also my mom passed suddenly when was in her 40s but she rocked her mini skirts, tanks, and minis till the end. I was never embarrassed by it 🙂
