liz42:  if it looks good, and more importantly- if you FEEL good in it, go for it!

liz42:  That’s actually a very late ’90s Britney-style crop top that I would consider out of fashion. I would go for a more contemporary look if you’re going to wear one! I definitely wouldn’t worry about your age, though–as long as you feel comfortable and like it flatters your body, who cares???

Hi. I’m only very slightly younger than you, also into fitness and I would. I wore one on holiday with 3/4 length capri pants and heels and I felt great. I think when you say crop top and 40 plus to a 20something they’ll revoil in horror because we might be the same age as their mum who has 4 kids! Not all 42 year olds look the same. You look young for your age and you’re attractive so you’ll get away with it. Obviously with a slogan top and a short skirt it would look dreadful but the look you posted was pretty casual and ideal for hot weather. We all wear different stuff on holiday than we’d walk down the high street in at home. Don’t overanalyse it.

Do it! Crop tops seem to be back right now, and especially since it’s the Carribbean. No shade at all from this late 20something 🙂

I say wear it! I’m much older than you and although I have the body size (12 top, 8 bottom), I have so much middle aged sag, it’s got to be covered.

I don’t think anyone should wear crop tops.
