So Amanda Seyfried got engaged aaaannnnd………
…her ring is just a plain band:O
It’s a little anti-climatic but I kind of love it? I think some celebrites go so over-the-top with engagement rings *cough* jennifer aniston *cough*, that they end up looking tacky? I like that Amanda’s ring kind of goes back to the original sentiment of it just being a symbol of a very person life decision between two people who love eachother, and not a flashy show of wealth/status.
What do you guys think? 🙂

circumambient : I’m glad she got a ring that she likes and that a super gaudy isn’t important to her.

I like it.
I also don’t think Jennifer Aniston’s ring is tacky at all.

I love it. Very classy and understated. While I love admiring a nice rock, as someone who went the “band only” route it’s nice to see other folks rocking the look too, especially the occasional celeb!

To just wear a plain band is the tradition at least in the northen european countries! Where is she/her Fiance from originally?

I have no idea who this is but I do think it’s cute. It says “taken” just like any other Ering. And I also love Anistons rose cut ring!

Jennifer Aniston simply has a rose cut stone…

To each their own. Critcizing anothers ring is simply petty. Might not be your taste but it is a very sentimental piece for another.

I love it! I’m a fan of understated/minimalist jewelry. I blame Catbird for that, though.

I like it. Audrey Hepburn also just had bands (I think she had three). I love its simplicity.
I don’t think Jennifer Aniston’s ring is tacky though, everyone has a different style.

I like it. It’s simple and perhaps he went to her and asked what she wanted. Poor Jen has complained about her ring in the past because it isn’t her style, so as someone who picked out their own ring I feel kinda bad for her.

circumambient : Of all the over-the-top rings in Hollywood, Jennifer Aniston’s was the one you focussed on? Random.

lovelyruby : aww, I didn’t know that 🙁

theatrejulia : I totally agree! I don’t even post my ring on the bee, because for some reason girls here are very claws out over rings. I don’t even know the specs of mine – all I know is that I love it, and it means I’m marrying the man I love! It never even occurred to me that a ring should meet certain 4-C criteria… Bizarre!

circumambient : I say good for her, if that’s what’s good for her then there is no right or wrong. It’s classy and timeless.
And personally I’m not a fan of Jennifer A’s ring, it’s gaudy and I don’t like the stone itself. It looks like she got size over quality.
