I use something similar, from maybeline. It doesn’t look like it does much covering, so I have been wanting to switch! Is the price pretty good?

That’s not too bad as long as it lasts awhile (and I’m assuming it does since it’s a light powder). lol.

I’ve used Bare Minerals for over a year now and love it! I’ve also been going to a med-spa and the Aestician gave me the thumbs up for using it. She said its all they recommend. They have a more expensive brand they recommend (don’t even know what it is) but she didn’t say anything bad about Bare Minerals. I will say its probably worth it to have the brushes though… The starter kit included them. You start with the ‘light’ brush for overall dusting, then switch to one of the denser brushes for better coverage. I have reddish areas and those brushes do an awesome job with them.

Unfortunately it does not work well if you have dry skin. I love how it looked when it first went on but afterwards it accented every llittle wrinkle on my face! I even e-mailed the company  and asked how I could make it work better for me and they just responded that it doesn’t work well for everyone.

I love it!

Its all I wear, I have chronic dry skin and I make sure to wear it with a good moisturizer. I have had to use a moisturizer in with past foundations anyway.

I also have acne and some scars, but  you cant tell Thanks to this makeup!

I used to wear Bare Minerals but got tired of the cost, so I switched to Loreal’s version and I love it!

I also use ID Bare Minerals and it is wonderful! I get dry skin also due to my acne facewash but i just make sure to put a great lightweight moisturizer from Neutrogena before i put it on! I swear by it and have for almost two years now! And you can get as much or as little coverage as you want without it looking cakey! I HIGHLY recommend it!

I’m like the only person in the world who doesn’t like mineral make up.  I tried it and felt like it didn’t really provide ANY coverage.  I saw the make up artist put it on but I didn’t see it cover anything up or smooth anything out.  Also I felt like it emphasized every fine line on my face.  And the thing that bothered me the most, I had it on for a few hours before I washed it off.  The next day I woke up with little pimples all over my face and I NEVER break out.  Seriously, I get like 1 pimple every 4 months or so.  So I guess I’ll be sticking to my beloved Make Up Forever H Foundation.

I don’t like mineral makeup – i just thing as your skin ages (I’m over 35) it doesn’t work as well.  made my skin look to flat and not radiant enough for me personally.  but it does cover well if you have redness

I’ve heard from makeup artists and salespeople alike that the mineral makeups are not a good choice for older women, as they will accent lines on the face and neck. I don’t care for them either- and that kabuki brush HURTS!
