I’m not so much a fan, but between those two I would say the first ones. Although the half red half blue star bothers me. Is there a meaning to that?

ADemby1:  I’m on the fence! I feel like probably not. I come from a social group who doesn’t commonly adorn ourselves in the flag, so I feel it isn’t something totally familiar to me.

I am going to vote it isn’t too tacky, but the situation is made better because it is a fun extra that won’t be in everyone’s faces. Like, it isn’t a flag veil or something.

I think it is fine.

I’m not a fan. Just my taste though, doesn’t mean much

I vote tacky.

FTR, DH and I are both military.. but neither one of us is from the south.

If I had to pick one, the first pair.

Well, considering the first has the word redneck in the name….ehh.  I’m not really a fan and think these are a little over the top, but if I had to pick one, I’d go with the first one too.  I think plain boots would work best though and have the most rewear value.  I just cant imagine really wearing these, it’s just too costumey to me rather than elegant rustic.

I think its super tacky. Just so ‘Murica!!’. And I do think it screams redneck.

I don’t think it’s tacky. I think it makes sense with your explanation. I would wear the first pair, I’m not a fan of the second pair. I wore boots at my wedding too 🙂

Ya I’m also gonna say tacky but you seem set on it and if it works for you and your lifestyle and your vision then who cares really? Between the two I say the first ones look much nicer. And you asked someone else why it is tacky. I think because it’s the thought of taking a formal event and formal attire and pairing it with something very informal that just seems out of place. And outside of farmers who I know wear them for practical purposes you don’t see a lot of cowboy boots outside of rural areas so they do unfortunately just have a “redneck” connotation. But again I know in a rural or farming community a lot of people will probably like it so if it works for you then go for it- there are plenty of worse things a bride could wear for sure lol

ADemby1:  I think the boots are cute! I would wear the first ones but I understand they aren’t your typical wedding shoes. What boots would you wear if you didn’t get the flag ones?

ADemby1:  as a fellow lover of cowboy boots and all things ‘Merica, I don’t think I’d say tacky, but definitely not what’d I’d choose for my wedding day. Honestly my bigger concern would be the August date…won’t your feet get so hot and sweaty??
