I think it would be super cute since he is in the military and wearing his dress uniform. That’s just me though!

IMO a flag is for an actual flag or showcased on a Tshirt at best. Anything else, I don’t personally care for. But it’s not my wedding so do whatever makes your comfortable or reflects your values.

I don’t think it’s tacky.  A lot of people I know wore cowboy boots for their wedding.  I think the first pair are super cute…I might need to go buy some for July 4th! lol

Don’t let everyone’s opinions sway you, if you really like them, then go for it.  You have to remember that trends are different everywhere.  I think big-ass hoop earrings are tacky, however, I’m sure others think something I’m wearing is tacky…to each their own!

Tuxedo shirts, cash bars and inviting guests to the ceremony and not the reception are tacky.

Wearing cowboy boots (that no one will see anyway under your dress) that fit your theme is not.  Go for it! Considering you have a ‘merica theme you could go VERY overboard very quickly.  This is not one of those cases.

I was going to vote tacky because I think that rustic weddings with cowboy boots can tend to look a little too costumey. But, in your case, I say go for it! The boots are personal and meaningful, not just a prop. They’re kinda cute, too!

ADemby1:  As a horse ider and regular boot wearer, while I don’t think they are “tacky” I wouldn’t wear them. I would stick with regular boots, and if you wanted to get a little funky do them in a color. All red, or maybe the really pretty turquoise color someone posted early on in the thread? I would ask yourself, are those boots ones you’d wear after the wedding? If so, and you like them, no one else’s opinion really matters. For me, $200+ is an insane amount of money to spend on shoes to wear once. I didn’t even spend that much on my wedding heels.

I grew up barrel racing and constantly wear boots and even worked in a boot store, but I think they are tacky.

Ironic that you describe yourself as “blue blood” when that definition is “of noble birth”. Generally speaking, a “blue blood” woudldn’t be caught dead in flag-themed cowboy boots. Perhaps that’s just semantics, but I vote tacky.

I love them! I’ve been in/to several weddings where the bride and bridesmaids wore boots. The thing is, if you have a long dress, nobody will see most of the boot. So the only time it will matter is when you take a couple of cute pictures exposing the boots on purpose, and then I think it’ll be extra fun to have them be flag boots.

But I’m from Wyoming, and my roots are a bit redneck, so I suppose take with a grain of salt.
