@Jacqui90:  Last I heard the US wasn’t a monarchy but I’ve heard this before specifically about the Kennedy family, not just any american presidents relations.

Its just slang. There’s no royalty. It gets tossed around a lot–Kennedys, Brad and Angelina, even *shudder* the Kim Kardashian wedding.

Um, part of the point of the United States being formed was that we didn’t want a monarchy.  That’s why we have a president instead of a king.

@Jacqui90:  Yeahhh….It was right after the actual Royal Wedding last year, so a lot of tabloids were throwing around headlines like “America’s Royal Wedding.”
