Ukulele4You:   <– this blushing face should be smiling… Thank you!!! It has always been something I have drooled over. My grandmother’s aunt owned a jewelry store, and when she was very ill and about to pass away she told my grandma she could pick anything she wanted in the store (late 1930s, but I believe the set may be a few decades older). It’s 18k yellow woven gold on the necklace, and there are additional pear amethysts that can be attached to the earrings to convert them into a drop set. I do have pics in my wedding dress, you might be able to find some on my recap thread πŸ™‚ Surprisingly, my DH hates the necklace and calls it tacky. IDGAF! It’s my favorite and I’ll be damned if I didn’t wear it on my wedding day

My engagement ring. It looks lighter or darker depending on the lighting in the room or if I’m outside.

Oh, please stack it with your swirl/scroll band or with a diamond a-band and post a pic. I bet it’d look great as part of your marital bling.

What a bummer! You should talk with a bench jeweler about sourcing a replacement amethyst. It shouldn’t be too costly to do.

Amethyst is my birthstone, so when I was younger my mom bought me a ton of amethyst jewelery.  I’m just starting to get into wearing it all now.  I have the ring below (amethyst center oval with two triangle diamonds flanking it) in yellow gold, an amethyst and diamond tennis bracelet, and a few variations of amethyst studs.

waitingtobeemrs14:  I love your ring it’s gorgeous! Your mom did a fabolous job. Does she make jewelry for a living? If so does she be a website or something at maybe some of  others bees could look at? My birthstone is amethyst plus my favorite color and I always wanted a amethyst ring!
