Is it really the same? ๐Ÿ™‚ have you seen it in person?  I would reserve this judgment once you see it. No harm in asking for photo comparisom, but photos are not good indicators for judgment.

I would stick with the moissy if you are worried about price but if you want more of a diamond look then I would go with amora gem. Alot of bees have it and love it and say it looks more diamond like then moissanite I’m guessing the way the colors jump off it. I ha e a moissy and I really can’t tell the difference when comparing to diamond I would say the way the color jumps off is the only give away to me but the jewelr s I’ve taken it to had no idea it was a moissy even looked under a microscope and thought it was a good quality diamond until I said it was a moissy. So either way I feel you will be happy with the stone but if not then you can always replace it over time. Here is a pic of my 1ct unenhanced moissy it is always very white and I never see color so I doubt you will see any color with you enhanced 1.20 moissy

Princesskitty101:  wow I wouldn’t trust a jeweler who can’t spot a moissanite.  It’s pretty easy for experienced jeweler to spot it even without a loupe.

swirlyclover86:  yeah well we aren’t working with that jewelr anymore and it’s actually not as easy as you’d think that’s why they have testers I talked to the man we work with and he can tell now but he said it tool him awhile to be able to see the difference and that is why they always have to test the stone to be 100% sure. He said they had been tricked a few times before when they weren’t as common. So yeah its not something easy to spot while they have difference I’d you’ve never seen one then I can see how someone wouldn’t be able to tell.

Edit: to add that is also a reason alot of places won’t work with moissanite or amora gem.

Top two pics is of the 1.5 carat equivalent Forever brilliant OEC moissanite I had. Bottom two pics are of my 1.65 carat G Vs1 amora gem ultra hearts and arrows cut. The amora gem looks more like a diamond than it does a moissanite in my opinion.

smills16:  what about ordering stones in real life and returning it.  That would happen anyway if you end up not liking the FB.

No matter what people say, not one gem will look exactly like a diamond except a diamond.  Moissanite has double refraction that gives it away as a moissanite.  If you want a moissanite, accept what it is and what it cannot be.

That out of the way, if you want white stones I’ll stick with amora gem.  Amora moissanite and FB moissanite has a tint that will show, no matter what posters here say.  It maybe white to you, trust me it won’t be that white yo everybody.  That tint is not the same as warm diamonds, there’s something about the tint that’s odd.

For photos, quick Google here will show you tremendous amount of threads that will help.

smills16:  I have an Amora myself and I absolutely love it! If you’re more focused on wanting a whiter stone I would go with Amora for sure.

smills16:  Here’s a pic of my amora moissanite from moissyco. It can look very white sometimes like in the pic below, but at other times, it has a lot of fire, which I love. Hints of blues, greens, and reds pop out of it in the right light – like dim restaurant lighting, my fave ๐Ÿ™‚
