Watergrl523:  sorry it’s taken me so long to reply! We decided to go with Gold and Gem! We are between two bands (with stones in the band actually!) but I’m leaving it up to my boyfriend to pick between the two! we have been talking to Ron and he is so nice! We will post pictures once it happens haha

Entering this conversation rather late, but we’re doing the same!! We got a 1.6 E IF Amora and are working with Ron to do a custom setting. Very excited!

I just got one too!  It is 9.8mm (approx), 3.71ct, G IF OEC.  Super pretty!!  It will go into my push present ring for baby #3.

I noticed that amora gem has a “hole” in the very middle that diamonds don’t seem to have. Do all Amora Gems have that or can you buy them without that “hole” looking part?

NovaRising:  Do you know if there is a reason why the round brilliants have the large hole/ culet

lilsweetie:  Mine is a round AG ultra hearts and arrows with no cutlet or hole you speak of. Perhaps you’re looking at an old photo? 2013 or earlier? If your order one now you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve only seen the hole or fish eye in the bottom of the OEC cuts.

lilsweetie:  My OEC has it because it is an old cut, and cold cuts tend to have an open culet.  I have not seen it in any other cuts.

MstoMrsH:  a fish eye is something totally different, due to poor cutting.  Many of the older Round Brilliant moissy have a fish eye.  And while some OECs do show a fish eye, they have an open culet as well.
